Clomid Dosage doubt

Hi,
I'm wondering if a higher dose of clomid (100 mg) increases the statistics of multiple births.
I'm not sure if the higher the dose the higher the chances.
This was my third month on clomid with no sucess. This month I'm gonna have my tubes tested.
I little dissapointed and sad.
I would appreciatte if you can guide me.

dream - I'm not really sure but I don't think the increase in the clomid will increase your chance of having multiples but good luck to you and keeping my fingers cross. Krissy68

dream--i agree with krissy68, i don't think it increases your chances for multiples, just causes more estrogen to circulate which would make bigger follicles and more risk for ovarian cysts. I feel your sadness more than you know...hang in there!

When I went from 50 to 100 the Dr. did warn me that it would increase the chance of multiples.

I had 2 cycles of clomid 50mg, then upped my dose to 100mg cd 5-9 and took 5000miu hcg shot the day I got my positive opk, used a donor that same day and had a scan at 7 weeks to find I was carrying twins. They're now 4 months old (boy/girl)

The thing with the higher dose clomid is the side effects... clomid affects your womb lining and cm. I took selenium suppliments (thickens womb lining) along with pineapple juice and walnuts... I took baby asprin as soon as my period stopped as it helps blood flow to womb and ovaries. I also took co Q10 as it oxygenates the blood better and I took pregnacare as it has selenium and other vitamins in which helps prepare for pregnancy.... I bought my clomid online without prescription. If anyone needs any help re clomid/hcg email me jennah78 at ymail dot com I also used preseed. I got pregnant 1st month on all of this.

I have done the exact same thing as I did last year and IM PREGNANT again... I just found out yesterday... had a bit of a scare with bleeding but not a lot and think was implantation bleeding. It's weird, it was last January I got pregnant and mt lmp was jan 7th and this time its jan 10th... how weird lol... at least Ill have the same maternity clothes for the season!!

A higher dose of clomid can decrease your chances of getting pregnant as it thins womb lining and thickens mucous. I counteracted this with selenium suppliments and robitussin and drank pineapple juice. Hcg ups your chances of multiples to 30% My lil clomid twins are now 5 months old and adorable!!
