I had the same cyst (corpus luteum cyst). They're pretty common I've been told. This is my first month without any meds for awhile also. Clomid makes my cycles abou 29 days or sowith me o'ing somewhere between 12-15 and a 15 day luteal phase. This month I seem to have O'd on my own but my temps are pretty low, I'm guessing my estrogen is low? Boo b do-Do you temp or use ovulation test kits? That would really help you know when you o and when af should show.

Leah- I'm 36 and my husband is 34. My cycle was 35 days this month. We are trying for our first. I've been through all of the tests and as far as they can tell, there is nothing wrong with me. My husband, however does have low sperm count, motility and mobility. Not infertile but at the "low" cut off. I think it was like 39,000,000? With low motility/morrphology. Oh man, I just realized something....Never did I ever think I would know the ins and outs of a sperm sample. Anyway, I feel kind of like a number at my clinic. They just kind of make your next appointment and push you out the door. I want to talk to them about injectables...But get this...Last month they tested me on day 11 because I called on day 9 to tell them I had a very faint positive...I know that it was from the HCG trigger shot but they keep telling me I had a chemical pregnancy (raises their success rates)so they want me on clomid again because "it worked" (It didn't). There is no way I was pregnant...The positive faded slowly over those next 2 days. So I kinda feel like they think I'm like the crazy know-it-all patient. ha ha...Who cares! The nurse insisted the HCG doesn't stay in your system for more than 3 days. WTF? Anyway, I hope you still think you can relate to me. Robyn- I saw your post on another thread about your drinking the pickle juice and I left you a message there. I was cracking up! I hope so much that it happened for you this time! I can't wait to find out!

Oh yeah, Robyn...Those progesterone levels sound great!

Boo b do - December 2

Hi Robyn, good luck with the BFP, I have been following your progress on the other threads. It would be a great Christmas present. Hi Sweetpea, I went out and bought a fertility montior & Basal Temp stick, I think it was on CD6 of my last cycle. As I did not have it on CD1, I thought I'd start using it this next cycle. That would be great if I knew when that was going to happen. I am better prepared if she does show :-) Still a no show today, my last cycle was 31 days, this would make it cd38 today. I think I ovulated on the 18th Nov, cd23 ish. So that would make me 14dpo. If she is goign to show, I guess now is the time she should heh. Godd luck to all you ladies.

ROBYN - December 2

Hey girls thanks for the encouragement. I have been doing so much research with the the IVF after the transfer and believe all the symptoms I am getting are mainly from the meds and the progesterone it explains alot. So I am really not getting my hopes up and Thursday cant get here quick enough and I am prepared for the negative so I can prepare for the next IVF cycle. Sounds awful doesnt it? I just really dont feel any different and I have told that alot of times you dont feel anything. In reality I am only 11 days past retreival and 8 days past transfer so I wouldnt really know at this point anway. And when I think back when I was pregnant with my now 8 yoa son I was almost 5 months pregnant never even knew I was pregnant and zero symptoms the only thing that sticks out was a little lightheadness and i was really tired other than that nothing. BOO - how long have you TTC and are you on fertility meds? AMY - I honestly think you should look into seeing a different fertility clinic if you can in your area. You shouldnt be treated that way and hello... we arent doctors and it doesnt take a brain surgeon to read up how long the hcg stays in your system and 3 days give me a break. You need a clinic that is going to personally adhere to your needs thats why I mentioned about your hubbys count it didnt make sense to me why they would put you on Clomid. Anyway I will check in later. Have a great day everyone.

leahb5 - December 3

hey amy i agree with robyn, maybe you should look into another clinic. i do think maybe with the clomid they were trying to have more eggs for however many spermies got up there. although i have a client who has a 2 1/2 yo son and has been trying ever since he was born. it took them almost 3years to have him. we have the same ob, and he just kept saying you did it once so it might just take you a little longer, well he finally agreed to check her hubby. found out he was only like 6million...very very low, like a snowball chance to concieve they made an appt with the urologist and before she went in they tested POSITIVE! so this goes to show miracles do happen! we are all just waiting on the perfect eggie and our little miracles!! i had a break down tonight and decided to share this story to sort of remind myself what we are doing and why we go through all of this. thanks for listening and yes i can still relate! robyn, did you try iui also? and prog sounds great!!! good luck to you!

Amysince70 - December 3

Leah- Thanks for the inspiration. I am just starting to rebuild my hope for this next month. I'm debating on whether or not to use clomid with the IUI this month or just trust my own ovulation which had been a steady 30 day cycle since I have had a cycle. I honestly fell more fertile on my own. Robyn...Countdown is on! December 10, right? Hang in there another week gir...You can do it! Changing clinics seems like a a giant hurdle right now. I'm sure there are some ignorant employees everywhere. I chose this one because it's literally 5 minutes from my house, they have wide open weekend hours and they are the one with the 6 time (3 fresh, 3 frozen) shared risk program. The other only other clinic that had good success rates and reviews does not let you do shared risk if you need ICSI. (or at least the girl whom I talked told me that...another clue that no clinic is perfect.) With the whole male factor thing, I was careful to pick one that covered everything. Anyway, I have to decide today if I should use clmid or not with the IUI before we go for the IVF? Oh, another thing....You know how everyone says how many side effects they had with clomid? I never felt better....I was uber happy....Almost manic. I needed very little sleep and I accomplished more that month than I think I ever have! Then PMS came and I crashed.

ROBYN - December 3

Hey girls, Amy I understand why you wouldnt change my clinic is less than 5 minutes away too. Well heres the other thing if your clinic is Shared Risk thats a good thing because they have a high success rate not all clinics are approved for the Shared Risk program so thats good. As you know mine is also. My test is actually December 7th this Thursday. So tonite I have been really light headed and some twinges on my right side a little i am sure its the meds. Oh the progesterone shot hurt like hell tonite I think this one was the worst normally its tolerable but tonite I started to cry. I just think there isnt really many places left on my butt cheeks to place the needle that hasnt already been stuck. Anyway I am at work we are busy so I will check in later. Have a good one everyone.

leahb5 - December 3

hi amy thats great that you feel good on clomid. i wish i had felt better on it. did you decide to use it agian? and what is shared risk program? i go on wed and learn about my new meds and how my next cycle will go....when will you be due for your next af? mine will be around the 25th of dec. or possibly the 27th. i hope i get a really great present! i hope we all do!!! i cant wait to hear how you make out robyn. have a great day girls

Boo b do - December 3

Hi Ladies, how are you all today? I hope you are well. Robyn, good luck on Thursday, I will keep everything crossed for you!! I hope you don't have to have many more needles!! To answer your question, I have only been ttc since Aug 06, after a tubal reversal. My dh of nine years would like a child of his own, I already have children from a previous relationship. As I am 40, I am anxious that it happens sooner rather than later.:-) I am taking 100mg clomid which I took on my last cycle (25th Oct) My AF has still not arrived, that makes it CD39, 15dpo. I can't believe I went from a regular 24 day cycle to a 39 now? Has anyone gone this late and found that the clomid actually stopped their AF altogether. I've read Provera can kick start them again. BUT I did not expect this. What is going on?! :-) If this is what the clomid has done and I am not pg, should it not say something on the box? I need to go look at it. AMY, I have read stories where a lot of ladies have gotten BFP's with Clomid and IUI. Whatever you decide to do, I hope you get the best help deciding. Good luck with it. LEAH, good luck with you also, I will ask my dr about femera/letrozole, if the clomid is responsbile for my missed cycle. Baby dust to all of you *.*.*.*.*.*.*

ROBYN - December 3

Hey girls well----- I took my Novarel HCG inection on Monday November 20th which is 14 days ago. On Friday I took an HPT test just for the hell of it and yes there were 2 lines barely, barely, barely visible my husband couldnt really see it all it was one of those that you had to turn every way in the light to see the line. Well tonite for the hell of it 2 days later which is now day 14 I decided to see if the HCG had left my system. Well the shit came back 2 lines dark as hell. So now I dont know what to think. I took Ovidrel for 4 months it lasted 14 days but by that 14th day you almost needed a microscope to see the 2 lines. But I never saw it this dark ever when I should be basically negative at this point. So I am 12 days past retreival and 9 days past transfer. So I dont know am I overreacting I know I will take another one tomorrow morning since I work midnites I will do it during the night? What do you guys think?

Amysince70 - December 4

I hope the best for you Robyn! You know my experience form testing too early so I'm not sure what to think. On the bright side....My opion is that you have like a 50-60% chance with IVF so it might just be your lucky month! I'm sorry you cried with your shot last night. It's not only the pain but it's the emotions that have built up over this month, I'm sure. You're almost there, though. I bet you never thought you would be so happy if you had to get those needles for the next 12 weeks, huh? BOO- Clomind turned my otherwise clockwork-esque cycle into a nightmare. Last night I woke up at 4 AM with the most excruciating cramps ever...I wound up full on vomiting 3 times before my alieves kicked in and I was able to go back to bed. I would try clomid again, despite the side effects if I didn't think I was doing more harm than good to my cycle? I have to decide by tomorrow. It's either IUI or clomid/IUI/Trigger. A shared-risk program is when you do IVF...Some clinics with higher success rates offer 6 tries (3 fresh, 3 frozen) and you give them a discounted amount in full which, at my clinic is about $24K....If you don't take a baby home from the hospital, you get 70% of your money back. If you make one on the first try, you just paid $24,000 for one IVF treatment...A small price to pay to finally be pregnant though if you were going to pay it anyway, though. You have to qualify for it and I think you have to be under 37 or 38 by then end of your last try. Robyn, also, I wanted to ask you....You had mentioned in your email that the catch was that it doesn't count as an attempt until after the bcps? I've been trying to figure out why that would be good or bad? Can you explain that to me? My advice would be, since it will be so hard not to obsess about testing....Test every day and make sure the line doesn't fade like mine did....If it stays strong....YAY!

ROBYN - December 4

Amy, see I originally thought that they would consider an IVF cycle as a completed cycle, injections e/r and e/t = retrieval and transfer. But they consider a completed cycle as soon as you start injections. So... if your cycle gets cancelled then its considered a complete cycle. Oh... I took another HPT from a another pkg before Ieft for work and it was darker than the other one. So who knows. Dont want to get too excited. I might call the IVF nurse in the morning to see if they will take me sooner than thursday for a beta.

ROBYN - December 4

Amy sorry you got so sick last night I had awful side effects from clomid but nothing that severe. <<HUGS>> Our Shared Risk was also the same amount of money then add another 3000 for meds. But we felt the same way if it works the first time yes you spent alot more than a regular IVF cycle but at least if it doesnt work we still have 5 more chances instead of shelling out almost 13 grand a cycle everytime. So if you wind up with twins on the 1st shot than it definitely paid for itself LOL. Will check in later.

Amysince70 - December 4

Oh boy....I really hope it's the real deal for you! I have no idea what hormones you are injecting with IVF? I don't know what all would show positive if still in your system? Realistically and statistically, you did just get IVF and that gives you a really good chance! It's good to be cautious but...I'm thinking this all sounds great! Also, it's Murphey's Law....If you buy the shared risk, it will work the first time! :) That shared-risk catch doesn't sound too bad to me. I figured out that getting it done 2 times would pay for the shared risk so what are the chances you get cancelled 4 of 6 times? How often does that happen, I wonder? Do you know of a lot of women who get their IVF cycle cancelled? Robyn, my period is so bad right now. I was up for an hour last night moaning in pain...So much that I vomited until I was dry heaving in the toilet at 4 am. It's the most painful period I have ever had. I just called my nurse to talk to her about scheduling clomid and of course she is out until wed which will be CD6, a day past starting clomid so I have to wait and see what they say when I call tomorrow. I know you must be so excited right now!
