Can Clomid Help?

I am living overseas and my husband and I have been ttc for over a year now. I got pregnant last July and miscarried at 9 weeks, and since then have had no luck concieving. My doctor is going to start me on 50mg of Clomid next cycle. Can someone tell me if they have had the same experience, and if so, how long did it take on Clomid? I am nervous about taking the medication. I am also worried that I would miscarry again. That experience was not one I would wish on anyone. Are the chances for miscarriage increased with Clomid? What should I expect?

Thanks for your advice and help...

clomid will make you produce more follicles which will increase your chances of getting pregnant. as far as i know it does not have an increased chance of miscarriage if you are taking clomid. when i take clomid it gave me hotflashes and mood swings and i was really tired. thats just about it.
