Ive been with my parnter now for 8yrs and we've been trying for a baby for 5yrs but still no luck! I am 23 & have recently been referred to hosp to see a gyneacologist. I have had my bloods taken & been told I am not ovulating?! What can i do about this?? I also have an ultrasound scan booked for next week to check my ovaries etc. What normally happens after this? I have been told by the specialist i may require a laparoscopy to flush my tubes out but will this be necessary if I am not ovulating? Im hearing good reviews on this clomid treatment, can't they just give me this??? Thanks

Josie12, if I were u I would maybe talk to ur dr about getting on clomid since they said u aren't O'ing. I'm really suprised that they didn't offer it to u first. good luck with everything! I hope u get to start the clomid soon!

Josie12, just be patient with the tests your and follow your doctor's advice. It is so hard to be patient with these matters- I know. Did you ask your doctor why he is flushing your tubes? Maybe he suspects something???

Thanks for your response Toscana...i think they want to do test first to rule stuff out such as cyst on ovaries etc. I got my scan this week so im looking forward to that. Also, im 5 days late on my period but ive taken 2 tests and both state negative. Im confused but i need to know really asap if i am pregnant, as i will not be allowed to have my ultra sound if i am.. Would you recommend i ring my dr tomorrow & ask to see her. This has never happened before??
Thanks also to Jac1019 - I do try to be as patient as possible, but after 5yrs of trying and nothing; it is very disheartening! My dr didn't say he would defo be flushing my tubes, it would all depend on my ultrasound results.

I went for my scan today and all is okay...no signs of any abnormalities which is a good thing. I have also come on my period today :-( so unfortunately, i was late but no baby (which is sad news) but we're not giving up. Hopefully, will have me appt with my consultant in the next few weeks and I hpe we can discuss starting clomid. Has anyone started this recently?? Any advice...how long roughly are you looking at conceiving??
