I can't believe I'm not the only looney out there, I have bought baby clothes as well as 2 maternity outfits. Mega I also LOVE motherhood. That is were I bought both my outfits. I don't see anything wrong with it. If we all jsut have hope that we will get our little angel, then what's the harm in planning ahead!

HAHA!! I'm with you on the maternity clothes...anytime I walk by a Thyme Maternity store I'm awkwardly looking at the stuff inside! As for a baby stuff...I have one little outfit that I bought for a gift but my DH and I decided to keep it for our baby, which obviously has not been conceived yet (and yes, we did replace the gift haha).

Lol, I do the same thing!!! I have alot of unisex clothing. But I have stopped buying alot of clothes. I do buy some jeans and jean overalls from time to time. But I have alot of 0-3 and 3-6, so I'm going to hold off on the clothes until I get preggo and find out what sex it will be. Because I don't want my baby to have a whole bunch of yellows and greens. But I have started to get my Classic Pooh nursery stuff. I have a Classic Pooh diaper bag and Blanket now. I just got those a couple days ago off EBay. But I started planning for a baby before I realized how hard it would be with ovulation and stuff. So I think it is a great idea to plan ahead of time, so you just have to get the big stuff in the end. It's not weird at all. I also have it in a plastic storage container, but mine is one of thise huge ones and it's almost half full, LOL.

Kara, most of the stuff I have is from ebay! I have bought a huge lot of girl clothes as well as a huge boy lot! sizes from 0 to 12 months. I figure as cheap as I got them, it wouldn't hurt...right?

soimpatient --I did something similar too. I have 2 of the cutest baby boy outfits hanging in the closet of what will be the baby's room. I bought them both for our friend Mike's 2 little boys but for some reason we never got together when the babies were small enough to wear them. So I kept them! Why not! Whenever I'm in Target I have to "detour" through the baby dept. & maternity dept. It's like I'm drawn to it. na25--you're welcome. I hope you found some cute clothes on those sites.

I bought a pair of real waist maternity pants. I get so bloated with the clomid and have gained 20 pounds pretty quickly so I bought a pair. Nobody can tell that they are maternity pants and they are very flattering. I bought them at Old Navy. I figured that I will need them sometime for being pg. I also I have a sleeper that I bought 2 years ago a couple of months after I started ttc to give to dh when I'm pg. Hopefully I'll be able to give it to him soon. Baby dust..

I know exactly what you mean. I alredy have the crib, bassinet, stroller, and a bunch of other things in the spare room. The crib is kind of a family heirloom. My DH and all his brothers slept in it when they were babies. So, whenever we got married, it just automatically found its way to my house. Sometimes I feel like a real idiot, like when my DH's friends come over. They always look at me like I'm crazy. But, it also gives me a sense of hope, and comfort.

I have been told that if you are having trouble to concieve to organise your nursey with everything that your baby will need that way it will know that you are ready and waiting. Sounds crazy but i did it with my first child and concieved in two months. Still waiting for the second though.

I'm glad I found this thread... I've bought a bunch of stuff. "Crazy" I like the idea of organizing the stuff to let the baby know everything is waiting for it. I also constantly check for recalls on the stuff I have, pre-paranoid I guess?
