Bleeding for 6 months. Common?

I got the depo birth control shot i feb. and in Aug. was still bleeding. every day 6 months just like a heavy period. my dr would not do annything to help me. Is this common

I really don´t know but please please It does not sound like common or healthy ... please go to another doctor

Lisawat170, please seek a second opinion. My coworkers sister who is 20 years old got off bc and was bleeding for 3 months straight. She went to see a different doctor and was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Please dont delay. Any excessive bleeding is NOT NORMAL. Good Luck.
