Bleeding during ovulation

I forgot to say that I have the same issue. I get the blood tinged cervical mucus about 4 times a year. It usually lasts about 3 to 4 days. It's not heavy enough for a pad, but sometimes it does stain my panties. It's probably a good idea to wear panty liners. It always happens when I least expect it. Sorry, if I got too graphic. I hope that you all can find comfort in knowing that you are not alone. Take care and God bless.

Concerned, It is highly possible for you to be pregnant. As for the abdominal pains, I'm not sure about that. Take a pregnancy test once you have missed your period.

For those who have mid cycle/ovulation bleeding, how heavy is the bleeding? Mine lasts for 2 days with a few patches/clots of uterine lining, and I spot for 2 weeks until my real period. What's yours like?

I don't have an answer, just also the same problem. For about a year now I have had some brown discharge during the time of ovulation. I am also trying to get pregnant and have been unsuccessful for a year now. I went to two OB/GYN 's and they both told me that spotting during ovulation is normal and could demonstate an increase in fertility. I just finished a class at the gym and started bleeding like a regular period, but I just ended by period about ten days ago. Does anyone have the answer as to what this is??

Diana, I too bleed after my period finishes. Sometimes it is associcated with intercourse and other times not. I am trying to get pregnant, had a m/c in february. It is very frustrating. Anyone have any suggestions. I am a nurse and worry about everything. My obgyn thinks it may be associated with ovulation, but said he will do further testing if it continues with no pregnany.

HI - We have been tcc for about 17 months since the miscarriage. About 3 mths ago I got a saliva monitor and have been watching for the "ferns" (ovulation time). The ferns seem to be present about day 4 or 5 of my cycle. Isn't it supposed to be around the middle of the cycle. Do you think that this is why I miscarried. It has been really head dealing with it. Some of you are so strong! Anyway, do you think that it is possible that I am ovulating so clsoe to the beginning of my cycle. I have also been charting for the the last year and they cannot tell when I ovulate. However I don't check the temps when I'm bleeding. Any suggestions or help - thanks

i have regular 28 day cycles. 4 months ago my husband and i started trying to conceive. i am sure i conceived last month. However it was painful from the start. i showed very evident signs of pregnancy. my breasts became huge, my abdomen large and tightened, most of my freckles became sore and so did my gums. i could smell much more than before. i was sure this was it. unfortunately it did not even give me time to confirm as it only lasted a few days after my usual end of cycle. It all ended with a very heavy and painful period. i tried to take it in my stride and convince myself that at least we know to be a fertile couple. this month i felt so empty and was expecting a normal cycle but i had streaks of blood in the mucus various times during the month. i'm supposed to have had my period 8 days ago. but all i got was some more streaks and some brownish mucus when i wipe. my breasts decided to swell up too but i still feel so empty. i'm so confused.any ideas?

I am 38 years old. My last period started on July 1st but it was a week late and light (I am a heavy bleeder). Now I am at day 13 and I went to the bathroom and there was a small clott and when I wipe a small about of pink tinged blood. My last child was born 9 years ago and I had a full blown period with my other pregnacies for the 1st month. Is this ovulation bleeding? Could this be implantation bleeding? Could I be preg?

Hi, I have just started to bleed when ovulating, i went to the Dr and she said that i was either just having a ovulation bleed or i was pregnant and to wait until next month to find out either way, i will either bleed or not, not much to go on but i guess the worst thing is, that it is a waitng game we are all playing. good luck to all, i hope it all works out. keep your chins up, when it does happen i am sure it will be the right time and very amazing. i don't think anyone really knows what is going on, i wish that we could find out.

Hey everyone! To all who are ttc - don't give up! For those of you who are bleeding at odd times - don't freak out! I'm not a doctor, but I experienced spotting early in pregnancy and then again around 3 & 4 months. Each time there was a different reason for the bleeding, none of which gave us reason to believe that there was a problem with the baby. I am now 6 months along and thrilled. G/L to all!

Hi, I've read almost all of your post.I'm 37 I have 4 children,two step,two bio.
This month I had my period after 25 days(it was early) then on day 14 after intercourse I had spotting(ovulation time) I'm not trying to have any more kids but will tell you. Before I got my period I felt really pregnant.I have never had spotting before and I'm really worried.Should I call my doctor or just wait to see if I get my period in a week?

High estrogen levels can cause ovulatory bleeding and high progesterone levels can cause pregnancy-like symptoms. Its not uncommon for a particular cycle to have higher than regular hormonal levels.
