How does the rise of temperature to show pregnancy work? I rose during ovulation to 37, dropped for two days but have been back at 37/36.9 for 11 days.

the rise of temperature doesn't guarantee that you will be pregnant. BBT is designed to determine if you are ovulating. So taking your temperature is likely to know when you ovulate. If the temperature rises then that means you ovulate. Then if if stays high for 18 days that means you are pregnant but if it drop down....then your AF will show in a couple of days.
