Rose - db is in very good shape, not overweight at all.. yes, I have heard that too. CJB - THank you SO much!! What would I do without you?? seriously?? I will do exactly that! In the meantime, I am eating more fruits and veggies, working out to get as healthy as possible... Jen, as soon as I read the posts I went to GNC, bought Jesse the Fertility Blend....And then I am still taking my prenatals and Vitex, which is supposed to regulate hormones etc. we started these last night! I am praying and praying. And I agree with you all that IVF as the only option doesnt seem right. If they can select good sperm for IVF why cant they do the same for IUI? I will keep forging ahead. I am even going to check into actually seeing a Dr at the Mayo clinic! Blessings to you all and again, you are my life lines!

We are all fighting the same battle here-Overcoming our fertility issues. We know each others struggles & pains. We truly feel what others outside of this journey cannot. Therefore, I wish for everyone here the same that I wish for myself- A Precious Little Baby. This is what unites us all. Keri, I struggle every day not to give up hope & on this dream. I don't want anyone else to either because we deserve to make our dreams come true. And when others have hope, it gives me strength to do the same. All the best for you. I'm not only here for support but to support everyone else as well.

All I can say to that is Amen. And thank God for the amazing women here!

I have faith that you will pull through...You are strong, I can tell...you helped me awhile back when I was so down it was unreal...I am here for you...gosh I wish sometimes that we didn't live all over the world so we could get together ... I know it sounds silly but I just wanna give you a hug and tell you everything is gonna be alright... Love to you.

We all have ups and downs, and I truley believe that we all care for each other (as weird as it is being across the world for some of us). And, we all are truley wishing for he best for each person on here... GL to you Keri! And, everyone else! We all deserve that bundle of joy that we are wishing for.

Keri, Im not sure how much you know about IUI...Has your Doctor talked to you about the sperm washing and why it is done? My understanding is the sperm with poor morhology wouldnt make it through the washing process(Icould be wrong-I asked my RFE about it before we started our treatments). I would talk to your doctor about giving IUI's a shot. It is worth a try. It is less expensive than IVF. I believe that there is ALWAYS more that one way to do things. As for the FertilityBlend, have Jesse take 3 capsules a day for the first month then 2 a day-it takes 3 months to see results. FertilityBlend for women is supposed to be GREAT too. I have not taken it -they suggest not taking it if you are taking Clomid or other Fertility Drugs. Again, GL to all.

Nmn, how ya doing. Hope the research is going well.
Perhaps you can help me, dh submited his sa yesterday. How long until we get the results and what do they check for on the first test? He's really nervous to the point of asking me what if questions. I'm just getting a bit parinoid.
Thanks Mel!

Kimmer23 - January 18th, 2008 12:18 PM

hey mel - for my dh, the results were done the next day. I think it varies though...GL!

Jenn - I knew about the sperm washing but didnt know exactly what it entailed.. I agree it is worth a shot. I may just have to find another doctor... We are going to take the meds for a few months then get retested. So THANK YOU for all of your help and info. MEMILLNER - I took us almost 2 weeks to get results back BUT I think she held off as she didnt want to give us the news.. I think it should really only take a week. They check for motility: movement.. morphology: normal or abnormal shape of the sperm. You need at least 70% normal. Sperm count and volume. Good luck and please keep me posted ok??

Jenn38 - January 19th, 2008 3:55 AM

Keri...Please keep me posted on you DH SA....I would love to know if FertilityBlend worked for you. I hope it does!

sososleepy - February 2nd, 2008 11:58 AM

Hi Keri, Was that sa done using Who or Kruger standards? Did they check him for a varicocele? How was the count, movement, overnight survival....? Our urologist mentioned that when you read the ivf/icsi sites, it's good to keep in mind that they are in business to sell the service, so they tend to show the numbers most favorable to that goal. That said, I read all of the other sites too... and I'm not too optimistic. Let me know if you find anything hopeful please. Good luck!
