Well the Dr. called with my results and he doesn't think I had a m/c and could not explain the hpt results. I have been teated for a number of different things in the past and everything has come back normal. So it is a relief to know that I didn't m/c, This month is going to be the relaxing one. (ha-ha) Thanks for everyones support and prayers.

Patti - we'll keep praying for you. This is a question for everyone on injectables and Lupron. Has anyone gained a little weight or seen their bb's get a little bigger? A friend of mine who is a nurse said that it's water weight. It's no big deal, I'm hoping to gain 30lbs. including a healthy baby, of course.

I had two iui procedures 8/6 and 8/8 after five days on Clomid. Was followed closely with hormonal blood tests and ultrasounds. I had a blood test every day for 7 days leading up to and including the iui days. I felt so tired the day before th 1st iui that iI had to leave work and sllep the day. My breass are very sore and I continue to feel tired but can now go back to work. I am in the 2ww period and very anxious as this is my first cycle. I had one ovary removed in emergency surgury due to torsion of a dermoid cyst 1 year ago. We are praying that my 1 remaining ovary can bless us with a miracle. Many blessings to you all.

MJ- I'm sorry to hear the bad news. However, keep your hopes high! I became pregnant the second month after the HSG xray. So good luck to you! Maybe the IUI was just too close to the time after having the HSG? I was also monitored by ultrasounds and had the trigger shots. I think it will help to be monitored more closely. Did you take clomid last month? I have never taken clomid, it has always been femara. I went for my second day of blood work, and was told my levels need to double by tomorrow. I am a little worried, because I have been having a lot of cramping.

Jane- I will be thinking of you. Thanks for your kind words. Aside from my first cycle with the hCG trigger, I've been doing natural cycles (2). This fourth try will be my first with Clomid. I've not really been monitored that much with ultrasound. This cycle will be the first time (I'll have the ultrasound on Aug. 20, after taking the Clomid for 5 days). I'll have my fingers crossed.

Jane we'll be keeping you in our thoughts for a great lab result. How many cycles of Femara did you do before you got PG and how many follicles did you have? Sorry so many questions. I just completed my first cycle of Femara after 2 failed clomid cycles. I only had 1 follicle this month on 2.5mg. I'll be able to test on the 16th but I'm not feeling too positive about this cycle. I just feel too normal. Good luck again and Baby Dust to all!

Kathy, Today is day 30 and no AF yet, but I think she is coming. This whole month I have had no symptoms….cramps, tender breasts, nothing!! I don’t even have cramps like I always do if AF is coming…weird huh? I don’t have the list meds I will be taking. I cannot remember….I will be taking the shot that makes you ovulate….I think it’s called HCG?? This time I know they will monitor me a little more closely that last month. I was told that each injection is $25.00, and I will be taking 6-8 of them a month, plus Clomid. So that should run about 200.00 a month plus Clomid at $15.00. I don’t care what it cost, I just want a baby!! Has anyone thought about adoption? Does anyone know how much it costs or of a great website? How are you feeling? When is your next appointment?

Stacey - I have 2 girl friends that just adopted. I know one couple paid around 30,000 and the other 22,000. They both adopted here in the US after many years of infertility and frustration. Have you considered IVF? I think it could be less expensive, depending on where you live. If you live on the East coast and are just curious as to the cost and different options, check out this site www.americanfertility.com. I will find out about the agencies that both couples used and pass the information along. Best of luck.

Stacey - I'm so glad to hear from you. I did the HCG shot too after the 8 days of injections. I would love to do a study on successes with each kind of drug (like pills vs. injections). Maybe someone has insight on that already, if so, please share! I think it would be very interesting. Stacey, do you have a normal cycle of 30 days? If so, and AF doesn't show up soon, I would begin to wonder if you are PG. Has the Doc done any testing like checking your tubes and uterus to make sure everything's open and good? Do they have any indication why you're not getting PG? I had a lot of tests before we were going to start IVF last year and I wondered if they would have done the same tests had we planned to do the IUI first. As for how I'm feeling, I'm feeling really great, thanks for asking! As long as my pants aren't too tight and the indigestion doesn't flair up. I tend to get out of breath a lot. Still can't get used to that. I have days I don't even feel PG and am still finding it hard to believe. We haven't told our families yet or work (just a couple of my girlfriends) so it really doesn't feel like a reality yet. I have an u/s on Tues. 16th, I'll be 10 wks then. It sure feels good to have passed the age of our last two miscarriages. I really hope AF doesn't show up and you get a wonderful surprise. When I found out I was PG I was shocked because it seemed I had about all the same symptoms as my first IUI that failed. You just neveral can tell! I'm praying for you! Best wishes to everyone!!!

Thanks you VP and Kathy for your wisdom and information. Every bit helps!! Well if I can get through today it will be day 31 tomorrow. That is a good sign, but at the same time I don’t want to get my hopes up. This time around was completely different from my first failed IUI. So maybe that in itself is a good sign. I normally am a 29 day cycle, but this month could change. I have done multiple tests, and everything came back fine. I did have a small case of endometrioses, but that’s cleared up and everything is fine now. We just have unexplained infertility, and that’s what is so frustrating. Three years and not even once, have I ever been pregnant!! It’s very strange. Now with our new insurance, I hope and pray that it helps us achieve our dream, our dream of being parents!! Thanks so much for everything, it’s so great to have people like you to vent to in these emotional days!!! Baby dust to everyone!!

I am new to this and just had my first IUI on Aug 1. I had a hcg injection (ovidrel) on July 31, following my third ultrasound to make sure I was ovulating at the right time. Would it be to early to take a hpt on the 12th. This 2 ww is very hard. We have been tring for 4 1/2 years. It feels like 4 1/2 years of waiting. It has been wonderful to read that there are others feeling the same things that I am. It has helped me through the past week.

Hi everyone. I am in my first cycle with Clomid 50 mgx 5days and 2 iui's 48hrs apart after a natural LH surge according to blood rets. Has any one been succesful with out injectable HcG to boost ovulation or succesful on the first iui try. I am soooo anxious at work it is hard to get through the day. My breast are like rocks and I'm still tired but no other post iui symptoms. 2ww is so hard!

Hi Tana ...I too am on my first iui cycle only without HcG and we are about iweek apart so you are one week ahead of me in this horrific 2ww. Has anyone been successful w/o injectables to boost ovulation on thier first iui????

Hi Liz, I'm also finding it very hard and fustrating to get through the 2ww at work. As well my breast are very tender and I can feel some mild cramping. I'm hoping a weekend away will help me get through my final few day's in this 2ww. Best of luck to you!

Tana, tou can test now and then just take another one in a few days! What the heck they come in 2s and 3s anyway! however I do not recomend, Clear, Blue Easy.
