Jane- Keeping your mind busy with thoughts other than "am I pregnant" is definately a good thing! It sounds like you're doing well with that. Only four more days until you test! I have my fingers crossed for you. I'm a little more used to the waiting game now, as this is our 3rd try. It's hard, but it's worse if I analize everything in my body. I seem more positive because I feel like I've gotten the harder things out of the way (the first failed attempts), and am hopeful for the positive test soon. I test on the 14th (it's a Sunday, and we had out IUI on a Sunday, so I'm hoping God has His hand in this one). Keep us posted on how you're doing this week. I'm definately thinking of you! |

Sanjana- Welcome! This is a great place to talk! Have you taken a home pregnancy test yet? Your IUI was on July 19, right? Today is the 2 week mark. Do you have any symptoms of your period? If today is 2 weeks, and you haven't gotten AF, I'd be very hopeful if I were you! Did you do a natural cycle? Keep us posted. |

My husband & I decided to wait it out for a little while. I just don't want to be disappointed. I am so scared each morning when I take my temp. It was still high this morning but, I'm still not totally convinced yet. I am going crazy! |

well i had my 3rd iui on July 26 and 27 and i have experienced some things this time that i did not the first two times. So i was just wondering if anyone has felt any of these things. On day 3,4,5 i started to feel pressure on my chest as if I couldnt catch my breath, and i have also had a slight discharge. Both of these things have never happend in the first two IUI's so i was just curious if anyone else had gone thru this. The doctor said the shortness of breath was caused by increased porgesterone which could be a good thing and i have heard that after an iui discharge is good because your cervix is closing and not letting anything in or out. I dont know i am trying to find out anything i can. Thank you and Good luck to all |

Well I had my second IUI today so I'm officially in the 2ww. Last month I was trying to analyze every little thing I felt, I'm going to try and be less obsessive about it this month! How do all of you keep from letting it rule your life? I think this month my job's going to cause all of my stress. Baby Dust to all. |

I have not been on the site in a couple of days. I am so excited to see so many success stories:-) That gives me great home. We are doing a natural cycle this month and I am little worried that I might have a cyst. I have had dull cramping ever since my AF. I also have had a ton of that fertile type of fluid. It lasted for about 9 days. Has anyone ever had that? It would be nice if we got pregnant this cycle. If not, we will discuss IVF this cycle. Still not at peace with the IVF thing. I have loved being off the drugs this month. I actually feel normal:-) Prayers are with you all! |

Beth- I will also be having my 2nd IUI this month, at the very end of the month though. I feel a little less obsessed than I did before. I had my Lupron shot last week right after I got my period and I haven't noticed any hot flashes like I had before. This time the doctor had me get it right after my period. Last time I had it right after I ovulated. Maybe that made a difference. Did the doctor increase your medicine? I was wondering if she would try and raise my estradiol to get more follicles. |

MJ and Neena thanks for replying.. I was on clomid treatment and only one hcg shot to trigger the ovulation. I did the ovulation test at home and saw two lines , my doc said its appropriate time to do IUI . I have not yet got any signs of my periods yet. I am hopeful but I dont want to get happy because everytime I am so hopeful and at the end I get my periods which leaves me more disappointed. Should I take a HTP but my period date is 3rd that is today so maybe I have to pass some days and wait to take HTP ? Does anyone know that what is the time when one can get most accurate results with htp ? Can I do it on friday i.e after 2 days of my missed period date ? I have just crossed my fingers and am praying to God to get positive result this time..Neena I hope and pray that your 3rd IUI will be successful and for all other girls MJ, Patti, Vani, beth I wish you good luck...I read all of your experience and saw that most of you are on your 2nd or 3rd cycle of IUI so I felt like I cannot hope to get positive results so soon..still got to wait and make more efforts....May god be with everyone ! |

Well, hi girls this is my first time on this site, So far its sounds like you are all giving great advice to one another. Had my first iui on Friday. Everything went well, it seems the waiting game is the hardest. Has anyone checked their temp after the iui, and or has experienced any sore nipples? appreciate answers thanks |

Gina, I checked my temps with my first IUI last month and right on schedule my temp went up a LOT the morning after the IUI. This month however I'm confused. I had my IUI yesterday and this morning my temp is still low. Has that happened to anyone before? I'm wondering if I should let the RE know that I don't think I ovulated yet....As for sore nipples about 1 week after my first IUI they got sore and tingled a bit. |

Neena- You may want to read the posting on the board that said "Good news after 7 years." I personally do not know if weight has anything to do with getting pregnant, but a woman shared her story with everyone to help us. The story sounded similar to a woman's story that I work with, only she was not trying to get pregnant at all. |

Beth, for me, if my temperature did not go up the next day, we usually chose to do a second IUI. It does mean you have not yet ovulated. We were having IUIs from frozen sperm which only lives 24 hours, so the timing was a big issue. If you are using a sample which has never been frozen then it can live up to 2 -3 days, so you have a bigger time window. Actually the first time I got pg (but m/c) we did 2 IUIs and on the 3rd day my temp still didn't go up ( it did the 4th day- I don't know what my body, or the OPKs were doing that month). I still got pg anyway even though we thought both IUIs were too early. I will tell you that both times I got pg were cycles where I had 2 IUIs, but that is probably just coincidence. |

Beth- With my three IUIs, my temp. did not go the day after I was suppose to ovulate, but it went up two days after ovulatation/IUI day. I have read that with some women it can take their body a couple of days for the temp. to increase. My RE does not really worry about temps. He told me that there are so many factors that can throw your temp. off. I still take mine just to see what happens. We are doing a natural cycle and my temp. went up the day after I think I ovulated. Best wishes to you! |

KTL - I too have to use frozen sperm. How many IUIs have you had and how many resulted in pregnancy? I am really concerned that I may not be able to afford to conceive with frozen sperm since it is so expensive per vial. Did you use drugs, if so what kind. I have not been to a specialist yet, just an OBGYN and I plan on going next month so I am trying to get all the info I can. Thanks. |
