So, get this.....DH gave his sample for a SA a couple of weeks ago, from which they determined his "round cells" were high. That can always mean that there is infection present in the body. So, they made him bring in a second sample that they could culture to find out what was going on, and they found strep. I was sick last week and started taking antibiotics about 5 days ago, thinking I had a sinus issue again, but now I'm thinking it is strep. My throat has been sore, I have had to do #3, and a couple times I took my temp I had a fever. No wonder my workouts were a struggle last week. They are going to culture my cervix to see if I have it too, which I think I do at this point. They said strep likes to hang out in the cervix, so they will be able to see if it is present in the culture. Just found out from DH that his dad is in the hospital in Vegas. He has been on vacation there for a week, and this morning apparently had a mild heart attack. He is ok from what we hear. Don't feel guilty for laying around or playing hookie. I tend to get up and clean something when I feel that way....don't know why, but it makes me feel a little productive. Make some cookies or something! The company you work for sounds like a blessing. I like that kind of mentality....after all, it is about their bottom line and customer satisfaction. That makes for pretty good morale. What I hated about teaching was that we were watched like hawks, constantly being observed, and given no credit for anything. Needless to say, morale was low! I have no cramps to speak of, have no idea what my body is up to, and am about to go crazy trying to figure it out. Taking the day off from the gym.....surprisingly not sore at all after the torture that was done to me yesterday. I thought for sure I would not be able to walk today. So you are still doing acupuncture? How often do you go?

Sorry to hear about your fil, but glad to hear he is ok. My RE has you and dh both take antibiotics (doxycycline) on the first round of injectibles. The effects last for 6 months. You might ask your RE about it. I hope you guys get better! Have you taken a hpt recently? You never know! I couldn't stand being monitored all day. I need to get an assignment and be left alone for the most part. I have been going to acupuncture every week or every other week. I hope it helps!

Hi girls, thanks so much for your support. I went for that blood test last week, and it was BFN. I was so sad. Then AF started the next day. I had a really hard time with it, so that's why I didn't get back until now. I just wanted to let you know. I made it until 19 dpo before AF showed, so I guess clomid just made my lp longer. At least I will know for next time (if there is a next time). I already O on my own, but the doctor wanted me to go on clomid to regulate my cycles. Well, it looks like that didn't work and it made me super dry, and O was very painful. I think I was better off on my own. I'm taking this month off from clomid, and we'll see about next month. Becca-welcome back, and I'm glad you are feeling a bit better. We all know how that goes. AF is still not here, but the cramps come and go, same as yesterday. I wake up in the morning and feel nothing, then by night time they are intermittent. I just got home from working a pretty long shift so I am going to change my clothes and chill. Ann, is the IUI in the morning??? Do a good job little swimmers!!!!!

AF is here. Not so much, but I'm sure she will kick in to full force soon enough. Whatever, it's not like I'm surprised.....just feeling a little defeated as a side effect.

Hi Becca. I wondered what happened to you. Sorry to hear about your BFN. I've heard that clomid can dry up cm. If you ttc again with clomid, you could try some preseed to help with that. If you do iui with clomid, your cm doesn't matter, though. Tracy, yes, I had the iui this morning. I asked for an u/s before and he said it looked like 2 eggs releases or were about to release and one other was still possible. It was an uneventful iui, but now my stomach is really crampy. I wonder if it had to do with the length of time I took the meds this time. Who knows! Sorry to hear your af showed as well. I hope you don't have to work today and can sit around. My RE said to lay around on the couch all day "like Cleopatra." I am following the advice.:) Try not to be too depressed about af. Look at the bright side--now you get to start a new cycle with something that will really up your chances to get pg!

Thanks for trying to cheer me up man. You know, I knew AF was coming; no doubt in my mind, but I still feel down. I guess I was just wishing for a surprise/miracle. Your IUI sounds like it went well. I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you! Just got home from work, have got to get out of this bra! I have felt like losing my mind all day, you know, like I'm angry but want to cry all at the same time. I'll check back later. Hope you guys are chillin and grillin.

Tracy, I know what you mean--no matter how logically sure you are that a BFN/af is coming, it is still really depressing when the truth hits. I hope you are pampering yourself. I've felt a lot more from the iui and meds this time. I still feel crampy and my bbs are quite sore. I am so fat that I couldn't find anything to wear to dinner last night. I had to run out and buy a concealing shirt to wear! I hope this swelling goes down soon. Have a good weekend!

I have worked so hard at getting this weight off, I am not looking forward to not being able to find things to wear again. Yikes! My mom has a condo in the area and is there this weekend, and wants to see me, but to be honest, I really don't feel like it. I feel forced to go over there. She is literally kissing my ass over the phone and trying to make me feel included in her new relationship, but I am just not ready for it at this moment. I told her I'd come over for lunch and am dreading going. Why does life have to be so cruel? I guess it could be worse, I could be living in Africa and have a disease, a family, and no food......I need to go to the gym, I haven't been in two days, but don't feel like doing that either. I have cramps and my energy level is low. This happens all the time. I'll go to the gym for four or five days straight, then I'm wiped for like 3 days. Either a migraine takes me out of commission, or AF does. My life feels pretty empty right now. I have been wanting a puppy to maybe get me through this doldrum, but can't have one as long as I live in this townhouse. It's not small, just too small for a dog and two cats. The hair would be rediculous. DH thought it would be better to get one after we have a baby, but there is no logic to that. It would need to be trained before the baby comes along, because I am not doing it while I am raising a wee one. Do you have any pets?

Sorry for the random conversation. As you can see, my mind is all over the place right now.

Going in for my day 3 scan and bloodwork in a little while. I'm nervous.

Scan showed ovaries look good, but have fibroids, one is two inches. Waiting on the doc to call me to give the go ahead on the shots or wait and do a lap. If we do the lap, I will be out of the game for a while....the uterus has to have time to heal. Don't know what to think at this point. Very confused an unhappy. IF I start the shots, it will be tomorrow and I will be on Gonal-F. Let you know what the doc says in a bit.

OK, shots are a no go this cycle. Fibroid is too large to ignore. Doc wants to see where in the uterus it is because they grow during pregnancy and can cause premature labor or miscarriage. Have to call insurance company tomorrow to see if they will cover a sonohistogram.

hi everyone...just wanna share with u guys...i have been ttc for almost 3 years now but nothing has worked for me...tried clomid, 2 iui with injectables and ovarian drilling too..my period was regular for only 2 months after the surgery but not anymore since then....no period :( only brown spotting for almost 2 months
i'm now taking chinese herbs and it does help....my spotting has stopped at least for a start :)
anyone of u takes chinese herbs?

I'm not. I know Ann has started doing acupuncture, but no herbs that I know of. I have been considering herbs since I spoke to a couple last week who was having a hard time conceiving and then saught holistic help. Needless to say, the lady was pregnant. I found out yesterday that I have large fibroids, and would like to take a natural approach to possibly shrinking them, so I was doing a little reading yesterday to find out what to do. I don't know of a chinese herbs provider in this area though. Gonna keep digging for info. Keep me posted on how you progress on the herbs.
