abn spotting and ovulation

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 7 months. I use the ovulation test sticks and I know that I am ovulating, we have sex and I begin to spot brown for about 10 days until my period comes. What is it and what should I do. I never had irregular periods and my ob/gyn said not to worry yet. I do have 2 other healthy children. What is the constant brown discharge from though?? Did anyone experience this???
