Hi all. first time i have been on here. would like to talk to people who are going through same things as me. me and my partner have been ttc for 3 years now and have been through all the tests. i was diagnosed with pcos 5 years ago and i was given metformin when we started ttc. obviously i havnt ever fallen pregnant with it and i have no kids. i do have regular periods though which im shocked at because everyone i know with the syndrome has had irregular periods. i was given clomid to try this month. 50mg on cd2 - 6. im now on cd13 and i havnt had many s/e apart from being a bit moody and today there was alot of discharge?!? just wondering if there is anyone else out there thats similar to my situation and if anyone fell pregnant on first round etc???

also im going for my day 21 blood test to see is i have ovulated, but my cd21 is on a sunday so i cant get it. im not sure if it will be better to go oln the friday before (cd19) or the monday after (cd21) can someone help??

Hey bubs88. My situation is similar although i don't have PCOS. I been TTC for 6yrs and had many tests. I had blood test initially which showed no ovulation so i had a laparscopy to check for blockages etc but all clear. Although i have bin trying 6yrs, i only ever sought advice from a gynaecologist when i knew id never got caught an never used protection. My partner had semen analysis which showed was just below average, unfortunately, not much they can do for men so they experiment on the woman lucky for us :-/.. I have gone through my 2nd course of clomid but due on in 5 days an dont feel any diff :( I was also on cd2-6 an had few side effects, did sweat alot during night.
DOnt worry about the blood test, my cd 21 also fell on sunday so they just did it for the Monday instead. Luckily, in my last blood test results it showedi was ovulating on days cd18 & cd21. I had ultrasound scan after my first round of clomid which showed a follicle each side of my ovaries which is good sign and they even said i had a big follicle on my left ovary. See i have all these good things, normal periods, ovulation and large follicles but still cannot conceive. I am not giving up!!! Hope this helps you and good luck xx

wow so your on your 2nd round of clomid! there still could be a chance even tho you dont feel anything! just hope for the best, im gonna keep my fingers crossed for you and wish you lots and lots of luck. are you on 50mg then? thankyou so much for replying to me, its nice to talk to someone who knows how you feel although you dont wish this on anybody. i have also been really hot and sweaty at night last couple of days. im on cd 16 now and i did an ovulation test today and i wasnt ovulating, im gonna keep doing one each day. thanks about the blood test, im gonna go in on monday then :) Yes, DONT give up. it will happen! i always think about the woman who ttc for 15 years, she had no problems and spent her money on all treatments, she gave up hope and decided to go into adoption and as she was setting up the nursery for an adopted child, she didnt realise that she was in fact pregnant and got her BFP!! It can and will happen, positive thoughts :) Good luck to you and i thanks alot for your advice! keep me posted on what happens xx

i went for my progesterone test yesterday, dont know it was too early :S. i will ring the doctors tuesday and find out if they got the results! i really hope ive ovulated this month.. x

i never bought it online, my doctor prescribed it! i read that people have bought it online, not sure where from etc. It would be better if it was prescribed for you as it is safer. have you spoke to your doctor about this? x

well i have taken it before by my dr and it didnt work, but at that time my hubby was on some medications and he has low sperm count, and now he is fully stopped the medication about 6months now, so i want to try one more time the clomid but we dont have insurance anymore so i dont know what the hell to do anymore, its just making us go crazy just thinking about how bad we want kids, i have one daughter but he has none, and we really want some so bad :(
i mean i get so sad that i cry myself to bed sometimes, but we have faith in God and hoping he will watch out for us :)

I'm really sorry, i know what your going through with the fact of wanting kids! its really hard! i really dont know about buying clomid off the internet, but i know alot of people do as i say but im not sure where and what the best site is. so sorry, i cry all the time too. go through google and try to find people who have bought it online, i hope you get the right advice. lots of babydust to you and really hope you and DH get what you want x

Hey bubs88, im sorry i didnt reply i have not been online for a while now. I've recently finished my 3rd round of clomid & I wonder will it ever work, its so frustating! Yeah im on 50mg and my gyne said he prob wouldn't increase it because it is working, as i now show ovulation. Im trying to forget about it all for a while now,im not giving up but i feel if i allow my body to relax it might just happen. How are you getting on, what did your results show?

Good news your ovulating! Im gonna try and relax this month. Im on cd4 today on second round of clomid. I had my bloods done on cd19 and the results was 6.9 which means i didnt ovulate :( i tried to get the dr to put the clomid up to 100 but they said i need to stay on the 50 for 2 months. I can't get another blood test until the third month. Them they will decide what to do. I was so stressed out thinking that it would work them and stressing on when i ovulate that I've decided to not think about it at all this month as without the blood test i won't know if i I've ovulated anyway. Sorry im. Going on lol let me. Know how you get on and lots of baby dust to you.

i read online that its highly recommended? Not sure hun. You thinking of trying that then. They have a forum online of maca success stories if you type it in the search engine. Good. Luck with whatever you decide! I know there is a tablet called pregnacare which gives you all the right vitamins you need for ttc. X
