Shawna1: You are right, it does say tread (as in tire tread) I am SOOOOO sorry everybody. I guess I was so excited that you asked me to do it that I didn't catch the mistake. Do you forgive me? : ) I bought myself a BBT thermometer today so I am happy. I am CD30 today and I have no idea how many CDs I have. Welcome SaraLynn and Stepmommel. We ARE very welcoming and friendly....but some of us are dyslexic. Saralynn don't worry about the worry...lol I found out I was pg with my son and then found out his dad was pg with my friend. I was with his dad for 4 1/2 years. I had EXTREME stress for my entire pgy and my son is wonderfully healthy. Dont worry anymore and I hope that whatever you were 'having it out' about can be resolved. Good LUCK with the BFP.

Shawna1 - May 5

Holy Cow, 2 newbies in 1 day! how exciting for us. It must be Shauna's catchy title! I found out I was not ovulating in Dec after having a blood test and a pelvic ultrasound. I stopped bcp April 24, 2005 and only had 2 periods from then to Dec, so I knew something wa up. The blood work confirmed that my hormones were all screwed up from the bcp. the ultrasound showed that my eggs were only maturing to a certain point then dying off. It also showed that I have a small cycst on my right ovary. However, I was told by my specialist that it was nothing to worry about. I had to take a month of bcp to start my period, then on days 5-9 I took 50mg of clomid. That was in Jan. In total I have done 50 mg for 2 cycles and this past one I took 100mg. I didn't have any symptoms with my first dose, but the second I had some crazy hot flashes, it isn't too bad this time, but I sure do hope this is the last round. I have felt some twinging today, so I hope that means I will be ovulating soon. Shauna, yousaid your hubby was in Toronto, are you Canadian? I live in Saskatoon. Well it is really hot outside, so I think I will go carch some rays! We are playing in a slo-pitch tournament this weekend, so I doubt I will be checking in, so I hope everyone has a safe and relaxing weekend. Oh and Elena, I can't remember when Taylor was able to feel Alexander move, but I'm pretty sure it was after 20 weeks.

Kristi1 - May 5

Hi everyone!! Welcome SaraLynn and stepmommel! SaraLynn, I dont think you have anything to worry about as long as you dont worry about it!! ;-) Please let us know how the testing goes in the morn! stepmommel, Shawna1 and I are both on Clomid 100mg....Im not sure what cd's Shawna1 takes hers, but I take the Clomid on cd 3-7 then bd every other day on cd 10-20.... So if AF should be coming right before you appt, that is really just perfect....some people take it cd 4-9 or 5-9, and I think I even seen some take it cd 2-6....i think it just the dr preference really, so dont worry if your dr has you taking it different days than what we may take it. I never really notice too many side effects other than hot flashes and little more emotional when I O on some months. I think Shawna1 had alot more side effects than I did. I do not know why people do not O, sorry cant help you there..... Good luck and keep us posted! Shawna1, sorry to hear about the alergies and Taylor not thinking before he speaks, but just know you are not alone, I know my husband doesnt always think before he opens his mouth either!!! Elena, I cant wait to feel the flutters you talk about, enjoy every moment of it! Shauna, do you know about when AF should arrive? I use a BBT thermometer also, it works alot better than a regular one for temping.... Hope AF stays away!! Well ladies, I will check back Monday, there is something going on with our computer at home, so if David gets it fixed I will check in this weekend, but everyone have a good one!!!

stepmommel - May 5

Well thanks for your enthusiasm Shawna1! You crack me up already and I can see I'm really going to enjoy having you guys to talk to. And by the way, it WAS the catchy title that caught my eye, though I must admit I didn't even notice the typo at first! I am so anxious to see the doc, especially if it will mean increasing my chances of O. I had been on BC for about 15 yrs and stopped after Thanksgiving last year, was regular for two months then stopped until provera (?) brought it back again. This is the second cycle since then and now it feels like all our efforts have been a waste if I've not even been O'ing. During my first marriage we'd tried for over a year with no luck and we were told it was a sperm issue, so I never thought I'd have this much trouble this time around! Needless to say, I'll be anxious to start the new med! As you can see by my name, my DH already has children of his own, so he thought we'd get pg right away. This is all very frustrating to him too. I guess it's never easy on both sides - we just deal differently than the men do! Anyway, thanks for your input! It's very helpful to know I'm not alone even though sometimes it sure feels like it!

Shauna - May 6

Goodmorning ladies...like I said before I don't so good no more and my memory is badder too....lol. Are any of you or have any of you went to CD31. Today is CD31 for me and that's really weird. Feeling kinda abnormal today... because of the CD31. Oh yah one more thing to Shawna1 : In 10th grade I handed in a report on Peninsulas and Isthmuses that was worth 30% of my yearly grades and every time I wrote ' Peninsula' (32 times) I wrote Penisula. My teacher laughed so hard that he couldn't give me bad marks because it was obvious that I had some sort of problem. Penis-ula is just soooo funny. Just had to share from a student to teacher. lol have a great weekend.

Shawna1 - May 7

Shauna, that is so crazy. Did you grow up in Saskatoon? I was born in Alberta, but I grew up here. Why did you move to Regina? How long are your cycles normally? My last two cycles were 34 and then 33 days long. But before the clomid my last cycle was 57 days long and only came to an end because I took bcp to bring on af. Well, we lost our first 2 games yesterday, but that is ok. We play again today at 3:30. I don't really care about winning, because we are having so much fun. Plus it has been really nice here. My only problem is my allergies. I had to pull myself from the game yesterday afternoon because I could hardly breathe my nose was so plugged. How is everyone else? Stepmommel, I'm glad my ramblings were helpful to you. I am also happy you appreciate my sense of humour. It tends to be a bit sarcastic. Taylor, my dh, doesn't really get sarcasm so some of my best jokes are wasted on him! Kristi and Elena, I hope you two are having a great weekend. Kristi, I am so envious of your upcoming holiday. I could use one right now as well! Well, I have to go, I think the bacon is burning!!!

Shauna - May 8

Good Evening everybody...Well I am still CD31-lol. Because I apparently miss read my AF last month...It was spotting on April 6th and then I guess you just count April 7th when I thought I was going to bleed to death...I guess I need not worry about being at CD31 if Shawna1 has been in the 50s. I really don't feel like AF is coming this month...yet.... I just cant me optimistic after 5 years. I have lots of pg symptoms tho...could be me reading to much into it tho. I hope everybody's weekend has gone well and look forward to getting back talking to you all again. Baby dust to all.

SerineMali - May 8

Hello ladies,
Everyone here sounds so friendly. Would it be alright if I joined you ladies? My name is Serine, live in Japan. My DH and i have been TTC for over a year now. No luck. We're still trying but I found out from a US that I've got some cysts so I'm waiting for those to go away and hopefully it wont be so painful anymore to try. I've got a question, I know this was already asked, but I really do wonder why some of us don't O every month. I think when I go back I'll ask my doc, I think that's my problem on not getting pregnant after trying for a while...

Shauna - May 8

Just wanna try to 'bump' us up.

SaraLynn - May 8

Well, the test Saturday morning was positive. Saturday afternoon dh and I went 4-wheeling. I don't know what happened, but all of a sudden I got a really sharp pain in my stomach. I told dh I wanted to go home after that. I hadn't told him yet that I was pg, wanted to wait until just the right time. We were supposed to go bowling Saturday night, so my excuse for wanting to go home was that I wanted to take a nap before we went. Well, my right time to tell him came when I started bleeding heavier than normal for af. I told him what happened and we just stayed home for the rest of the night. I guess that one just wasn't meant to be. I guess I've learned my lesson: when in doubt, stay home on your but. :-) Oh, well. We're still young yet, we've got time. Thanks for listening, um reading!

stepmommel - May 8

SaraLynn, I'm so sorry to hear the news, but keep a positive attitude like that and you'll do well! That's very admirable to hear you bounce back like that! SerineMali WELCOME! I'm a newcomer myself as of just a few days ago and feel so welcomed that I have yet to venture outside this thread since! Hope you have the same experience. You mentioned the US (seeing a doctor?) are you from the US originally or did you get info on line maybe from a US doc? Let us know what your doctor's say about not Ovulating, and I'll do the same if I hear first. ... Shawna1 it must've been the sarcasm that I was relating to so quickly - it's my sense of humor exactly! Gotta LOVE IT! Shauna and Shawna1 you're both making me feel like my CD23 is just the beginning of a really LONG wait! I don't think af will arrive this month yet again and no chance of BFP if no O this month either, so I am anticipating a LONG cycle this time around! Maybe the Clomid isn't in my immediate future after all!? Talk to you all later, and have a great day!

Elena - May 9

Hey girls just checking in. I see we have lots of new people WELCOME!! Well I feel like crap I got a sore throat and a runny nose! Which sucks because, when your pregnant you really can't take much of anything! Hope everyone is well. Going to go and lay down~ ** baby dust to you all**

Shauna - May 9

Good morning. Saralynn, I am so sorry about Saturday... : ( ... I hope you are feeling better. You have such a positive attitude about it tho... I wish I had that. I am relatively young too (29) but I just get sooooo upset about stuff like that!!.....Stepmommel, I am now on CD33 and I do NOT feel like AF is coming tho. I had some 'twinges' last night and this morning but it felt 'different' than AF. I have been pg before but I didn't realize until I was 13 weeks so I don't know what pg feels like this early...lol. I will test tomorrow morning if I don't see her (AF) by then. I just love that I can talk you yall about my feelings and things. DH left for work today saying that he has no reason to believe that I am pg. I said that I don't really have any evidence either other than no AF. After he left I wanted to punch him in the nose for saying that to me. I love him but sometimes he is just a putz. lol.
