Hope everyone finds this new thread, don't want to lose anyone!! Shawna I cannot imgaine losing a baby at 5 months!!! How horrible....reading on these threads about all the miscarriages also makes me a little weary, but then I just think of how many full term pg's there are out in this world and just figure you can't put things off becuase of what "might" happen ya know. Hope everyone is doing well and ready for a great weekend to come!! I should O Monday, so planning on doing alot of bding between now and then.... ;-)

Shawna - November 4

Hi Kristi, great idea to start a new thread. Thanks for the encouraging words. It is so discouraging. In the past 7 months 8 couples we know have lost their baby. They are all perfectly healthy. Out of the 8, 2 have gotten pregnant again. I just wish having a full term pregnancy was a sure thing, but I guess nothing is. Good luck this weekend, I am sending baby dust and happy thoughts your way. I think I am going to make a dr appt, to find out what is going on with me. Hopefully the others find us!

Shawna - November 4

Me again! I need to get a full-time contract. Being a substitute teacher leaves me with too much free time!! Anyway, since yesterday I have felt this sharp twinging pain just right of my belly button anytime I cough or if I stand up really quick. Has anybody else felt this before? I also noticed this morning that I had a light colored cm. Could this be a sign of ovulation? My plumbing is so messed up from the bcp that I don't even know when I am ovulating! I have a dr appt on the 17th so hopefully I will get some answers and get started on some serious baby making! Have a great day everyone!

Kristi - November 4

Hey Shawna! What do you mean by "light colored" cm? like pink or something? The twinge could be anything from Oing to AF to gas... ;-) hard to say. I don't normally feel much when I O, except last month w/the clomid I felt it, but it was more like a pain or cramp in my ovaries area... Are you using OPK's to see if you are Oing? that may be one way to see if the pain you are feeling is that or not. Hope everyone finds our new thread...would love to hear from them!!

Shawna - November 4

Hi Kristi, where is everyone!? Okay , this might sound gross, but I'm going to type it anyway. From Oct 9 to Oct 27, I had a dark pink, sometimes brown cm. Dr said AF was coming, but she never came. Oct 27-Nov2, it was clear cm, the last couple days, it wasn't clear, but it wasn't white either, somewhere in between. I have not used OPKs, trying to convince my hubby it is a good idea, however, he is enjoying the nonstop sex!!! Just kidding! How low are your ovaries? Perhaps the absence of our other friends is a good sign. Maybe they are out spreading their good news to family and friends??!! That would be the best news!

Kristi - November 4

Well, I'm sorry I don't know what to tell you about the cm or not having periods yet. Seems to me you should be having AFs by now if you went off bcp in April....I would make your dr really do some checking to see why you have not had AF.... maybe get you a shot of progesterone or whatever is they give women to make them have AF. I would also try the OPK's to see if you are Oing....they are used just just like a hpt, just pee on the stick and wait 3-5 min for the lines to show. they usually come 7 in a box and cost around $10-15. You can do the test any time of the day...i think i read on another thread that it is best to take in the afternoon. That way you will at least know if you are Oing or not anyway....but I don't know if you can O w/out having AF...?? Keep me updated!

Kristi - November 4

Hey Monica, you still out there??? ;-) Nic, how goes it??

Shawna - November 4

I read on a site somewhere that it is possible to o without af and to have af without oing. Very helpful information! Anyway, I am writing down things I want to talk to the dr about if I get a negative and I'm pretty sure I will. I will ask about getting the progesterone shot, or at least ask for some blood tests. Thanks for the info and support!

Kristi - November 7

Hey everyone, hope you all good weekends....mine was way too fast!! Not sure what to think about whats going on w/me....thought I should O today, but temps not really showing that happening, so don't know what to think.... I didnt buy any OPK's for this month since my Dr said they were not as accurate when you are on Clomid...i don't know, I was so sure I would O today, I have it all planned for bding ;-).....oh well, we will see. If my temps stay up the next few days, I guess I already O'd so I will just have to wait and see....again.... oh well. I go to Dr Friday and am going to see about having the HSG either in Dec or Jan.... Hope to hear from you all soon....

Shawna - November 7

Hi Kristi, glad you had a good weekend. Ours went by way too fast as well! I wonder where everyone else is? I can't remember from the old thread, but did everyone get AF on the 23rd? Our bodies do weird and crazy things. The twinging pain I was experiencing last week is gone. I was reading on another thread that a few of the ladies there had this twinging feeling and within a month had their bfps, but I am going to be realistic and not get my hopes up. It could be anything! Does yout temp go up or down during ovulation? Is it a change in temp so small that it can only be detected by a thermometer, or can you physically feel a change? I really wish I kept a journal when I was pregnant with Alexander. I know that I didn't get morning sickness until the 6th month or so, but I would have liked to remember how my body was changing. If we do get pregnant again, I am definitely going to keep a journal. What have you heard about the flu shot and pregnancy? I woke up this morning with a horrible sinus headache and my voice is all scratchy now, so I think a cold is setting in :(
Have a great day Kristi and hopefully the others will find us!

Kristi - November 7

I hope everyone finds us too....I can't imagine that they couldn't. I might put out a thread for Monica and see if she sees that and let her know where we are... I would ask your Dr. about the flu shot seeing as you don't really know what is going on. Mine Dr's nurse told me it was ok to get one, but I knew for sure I was pg....we get them free here at work, but they have postponed ours, so I will just wait and see what happens when they get them in. As for the temps....when you AF your temps drop and stay low until you O, sometimes you will see another drop on the day you O then the next day your temps will raise and stay higher until your next AF. For example, once AF came my temps drop to about 97.5 to 97.7 range, then last month my temp drop to about 97.5 on the day I O'd then the next day rose to 98.1 and stayed in the 98.1 to 98.5 range until AF came again. Here is website w/some info on it http://www.fertilityplus.o
rg/faq/bbt/bbtfaq.html
If
I can figure out how to do it I will send you my online chart that I keep on www.fertilityfriend.com. Anyway, my temps have been kind of steadily rising but I still have fertile cm - I think - that whole thing is still confusing to me. So we'll see, if my temps stay up 98 and over for the next few days, then I probably O'd already.... I read that Clomid can throw off the temps, so who knows. But we have been bding everyother day, so we should be ok I suppose. I can't tell anything physical as my temps rise, so you would need a thermometer. You can go to www.fertilityfriend.com and just veiw peoples charts there if you want to get an idea. I don't remember, do you have a Dr. appt setup?

Shawna - November 7

I have a dr appt for Nov 22 but I have to switch because my son has a hockey practice at the same time. Nothing is more cute than a bunch of 6 year olds trying to play hockey. Thanks for sharing your information. I asked about the temperture change because I have been freezing cold since I got up this morning, but I am not feeling that well so I am assuming this is the cause for this. You said you think you still have fertile cm, how do you know? I really need to do some research on this entire topic!

Shawna - November 8

Just bumping this up, hopefully the others will find us!! Have a great day!!!

Kristi - November 8

Well, my temps are still a little confusing to me, but according to the website I am using, it says I O'd on day 14 which is of course a day we did not bd -- we did bd on day 13 and 15, so we'll see I guess. Last month was day 16, so I made sure to bd on that day....who knows. I am getting tired of timing it. Think next month I will just do the every other day like my Dr says and try not to worry about weather or not it falls on the day i O. Geez. Hope everyone's week is going well! Baby Dust!

Shawna - November 8

Hey Kristi! Sperm can last in your body for a couple of days, so if you bd'd the day before and the day after there should be some egg/sperm interaction!!! It sounds promising to me!!!

Kristi - November 8

Yeah, that is what I hear. My dh has "lazy" sperm, but Dr. says nothing that should play a huge factor in getting pg, but it always makes me think that because it is a little "lazy" that maybe it wont really last as long as long they say sperm lasts. How funny - we stress over the silliest stuff! That online chart I keep also says that is good to bd the day after - and we did - becuase the temp charts could be a day off, so who knows. Like I said, I think next month we will just bd every other day, and I will try to not time so much by my temps. Have you read about Pre-seed? We are also using that, hope that it helps the lazy sperm move a little faster... ;-)

Shawna - November 8

I have heard of preseed, but only on these threads. I don't know anything about it. I really think this could be your month Kristi! I was going to ask you something else, but I completely forgot what it was!!
