I made a post in the signs of pregnancy forum and got wonderful replies. You may wanna check it out. Well to my question! I wanna know about you girlies on Clomid. How does it make you feel? When should I BD? Will I O right away? I heard that I should take Robettussin? Any and All advice will be greatly taken to heart and you will have my eternal gratitude! hehe

Hi Jennifer. I took Clomid twice and had great success. I was on 100mg cd 3-7 and am now 17 weeks pregnant. The first month I took Clomid I also got pregnant, but miscarried early. I had a relatively easy time on Clomid. Some mood swings, but nothing I couldn't handle. I took it right before bed. I had no hot flashes that I am aware of, unless I slept through them! Oh, I took it with milk because I found the taste to be horrible. I used an ovulation predictor kit, and also took Robitussin. I can't remember what days I took it, but only had to for a few days. I ovulated on cd 14 both times (as best as I can tell from opks and basal temps). My RE told us to start bding at least every other day after finishing the Clomid. Baby dust to you!

Thanks!!!! I am happy for you! I hope DH and I can be "a one time is a charm" kinda thing. Does it matter what kind of Robitussin I take? I also read on here that Clomid can make your uterine lining thin and Baby Aspirin should help with that. Did you use it?

It does matter what medicine you take. You definitely only want guifenisin (sp?) which is an expectorant, and no other active ingredient like a decongestant. I took it in pill form since I can't stand the liquid. I bought it over the counter at CVS. I don't remember the brand name, but it was just a pill form of the guifenisin. You need to ask your doctor about the aspirin because it can actually be harmful for some women. I didn't take it my first cycle, then only took it a couple of days my second time on Clomid. My RE didn't do an ultrasound to check my lining, but some do. Hope that helps.

Thank you but I have just one more question, sorry, My doc has me taking 2 50mg tablets. Is it ok to take them together or should i space them apart?

Karen-k, my ? is for you. I was just wondering what you did differently with the second cycle of clomid. I am on my second cycle of clomid after miscarrying with the first one at about 5 weeks. I was so cofident that the last cycle would work and I was so excited that it had but after miscarrying and starting the second cycle, I just don't feel as confident and I'm afraid that's going to effect the outcome this cycle. Did you feel this way also? I want nothing more than to become a mother. I just hope everyone gets their BFP really soon. Baby dust to all.

Jennifer, I would take the entire dose at the same time. But clarify that with your doc. Heather, the only thing I did differently the second time was a few days of baby aspirin. Other than that, I just kept repeating the mantra "Clomid is my miracle drug", after all, it did work one time before. My RE also told me he was "encouraged by my misery" (the miscarriage) and I reminded myself of his words regularly. If he was confident I could get pregnant again, then I was also going to try and be confident. I also made the decision not to tell everyone that I was back on it. Can't really explain it, other than I had those same doubts you are having and in case it didn't work, I didn't want to have to tell everyone. I know a lot of women on these boards have horrible things to say about Clomid, but I really did well on it and would take it again. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I know how devastating it can feel after trying so long to get pregnant.
