I hope everyone finds the new thread. I just thought the other one was getting too long. So, I got a little ray of hope this morning... the fertility clinic called and I was expecting them to say they had received my negative results, BUT the nurse said they hadn't received any results. So, she talked to me about whether or not I had taken an HPT, and I said yes and it was - , then she asked if I had gotten my period and I said no. She seemed surprised. Then she said "Oh, you're taking Prometrium?", and I said "Yes, will that stop me from getting my period?"... and she said "only sometimes"... SOOOO, she is investigation and trying to get my results for me and was so sweet and said "I really hope this worked for you!". It gave me a little bit of hope. So, either I am one of those women who Prometrium stops from having a period OR, I could be prenant... I am hoping OF COURSE for the latter!!!! I'll let you know as soon as I do. Please send some babydust my way! Smiles...

I got the official negative news. My beta was under 5. I will stop the prometrium and should then get my period. I have to take a 2 cycle break... which totally sucks. I am really, really sad, disappointed and discouraged. Hope you are all having a better day than me.

Where are all the girls? Social weekend perhaps? I am feeling a bit better... I cried all day. I am not giving up yet. I have to take 2 months off and will take that time to get emotionally and physically more healthy and then try again. Wishing you gals BFPs!

Hey T. No big plans this weekend except the Tiger's Game tomorrow afternoon. Sorry to hear the news. Please don't be sad or discouraged. It will happen, it's just a matter of when. When I started this journey I quit after 3 iui's. I got discouraged. Then, we picked back up again after two months off and this time it took me 4 iui's. I guess the point I am trying to make is - it will happen, it's just a matter of when. Hang in there.
Today is a tough day. I am having hot flashes and a mega headache. But, what can you do? It's raining here and I feel couped up in the house. YUCK!!!

Thanks Montie... by the way, I responded to your post on the other thread. You are so kind. I am not giving up... no way. I am just sad and frustrated. I am going to set up an appontiment with my RE to discuss what changes we need to make for the next cycle. I am a teacher and September is always crazy, so hopefully my 2 month break will go by quickly. Sorry to hear about your headache and hotflashes! I had really bad hotflashes on my first cycle. It's raining here too. Take Care and thanks again for your thoughts.

I am happy to hear that you are not giving up. This is a tough road. We all know that. My sister has been trying for a long time also. (not with donor sperm) She has blocked tubes and doesn't ovulate. She and her dh did IVF last year and it didn't work. Gosh, they have tried almost every medication possible over the last 4 years. But, she still has faith and they are trying again. It's amazing how the "wrong" kind of people have children every day yet the people who really want them struggle.
Anyway, you have a wonderful evening T, and remember......I am always here for you!!! I promise!!! Mon

Thanks! It's funny, I was venting about that today - being a teacher I see lots of kids who come from homes where their parents really didn't want kids. It's so hard to see that when there are people who want children so badly. Anyway, I have rented a couple of movies to distract me tonight. Have a relaxing evening.

i am doing good. i am trying not to get my hopes up though like i did last cycle. my sister called me this morning and got mad at me because she said she was really excited and couldnt wait for me to test and i was kind of a poor sport. i told her nnot to start getting excited so soon because i wasnt and i wouldnt be excited until i am officially late. the last time clomid made a/f a day late so until i am a couple days late i am not going to get too excited.

hey girls!! The Tigers lost today and that really sucked. But it was fun to go to the game. It's always nice going to Comerica Park!!
Slow-just thought you might want to know that I had NO signs this month. I swore to my sister and dh that I wasn't pregnant and even got depressed about it. You still have some time so until AF shows up, don't count anything out. My head feels better today but I have been getting some god awful dizzy spells. That really stinks when you are trying to drive!! Well, you guys have a good night. T, it's nice to hear that you are feeling better!!

Hey girls, happy Monday! T-So sorry to hear about the negative results, but try to keep your head up girl. You are not alone and you have all of us. Montie -So it really took you 7 IUI's to conceive, right? 3 before and 4 this time, is that right?? I am so excited for you! I couldn't even imagine what you are going through right now. I wouldn't count twins out just yet! There is like a 10% chance of twins. Slow, just 3 more days after this one and your 2ww will be over. I know how you feel about not getting your hopes up. But atleast let yourself have a little hope! My fingers will be crossed for because if you get pregnant then 50% of us will have conceived!! Well, I gotta work now!

thayward7 - August 21

Hey Gals... Happy Monday... I am trying to motivate myself to go into the school today and do some prep work for September. I know I am not pregnant, but still no AF. I stopped the Prometrium on Saturday, as soon as I found out. Does anyone know how long it will take for AF to come? Smiles...

Whynotme, you know...I really wouldn't mind twins. I guess after all the efforts and money, it would be kind of neat. (then I would have two children and no need to do again...LOL) Yes you are right, it took me a total of 7 iui's. (3 before and 4 this round) The RE would simply remind me that a female trying to conceive with no fertility issues normally takes 6 to 9 months to get pregnant. I guess I feel into that.

thayward7 - August 21

You're right Mon... I always hear that, and sometimes even 12 months. It helps me to not be quite so frustrated. After all we go through to get pregnant, I think we would all be okay with twins! So, do you ladies mind if I hang-out and chat during my 2 month break? Smiles...
