TTC3, given the fact that the holidays are coming up and you are shooting to get all the IVF stuff done by x-mas, (tight schedule,) I would say wait another 2 days and if you still have no af by Friday, insist on the prometrium to take starting the weekend, that should bring on the period in a few days, week. Just in case you got pregnant (that would mean 16 days since the last dose of meds)...that is a long enough luteal phase to see if you are pregnant or not. But yes, do take the prometrium if they give it to you and say there is no pregnancy right now. I was worried too last year about the holidays, I was the last retrieval of the year at my clinic on Dec 9... they stop doing IVF for the last few weeks of the year for vacations for the doctors. I barely made the cutoff for the year. So I am gonna tell you that it is better to go with their schedule, then to let your period dicatate it and drag on the cycle longer than it needs to be, so as long as you didn't get pregnant with those follies the meds did generate for you this month. sorry to hear about the lady in the office who shared her pregnancy, yes, a happy time for her, but yes, a very hard time for you...but know that everyday is a day closer to you being pregnant yourself. lovemy3, rectal bleeding could be a lot of things, not necessarily a hemmoroid, but most likely. It may be a polyp that got irritated too by the passing of the stool. Keep in mind too that in pregnancy, the blood volume goes up so much, we are susceptible to bleeding, nose bleeds, etc. because the veins also widen, thicken. So it is possible one of those veins down there in the anus might have ruptured when the stool put pressure on it. If that is the case, make sure you keep your butt very clean after a bowel movement. That is what is sounds like to me. Wash it with warm rag if you can. No soaps or anything like that, just warm water. I would even put a little vaseline in that area to speed the healing and coat it. How is your fiber intake these days? Your poop should be smooth...not hard as a baseball, which sometimes can cause the veins to be irritated as stool travels out the rectum. At any rate, there is nothing a gyno can do for a woman with rectal bleeding other than direct you to a doctor that specialized in intestinal medicine. If this occurs again every day for a week, I would book that appointment with another doctor to get it looked at. And make sure you are drinking tons of water too...that helps with intestinal health and keeps the blood from getting too thick. But it sounds like your appointment went well, and baby Grace is perfect... I am glad for you! And yes, tomorrow is Pam's big day!! WE are all totally thinking of her and her daughter...I will let you guys know asap once I get word from her. |

Hi guys! I'm scheduled for noontime tomorrow. Less than 24 hours.... getting nervous ;) TTC -- I read the posts and saw that your cycle was cancelled. I'm very sorry... The spotting you had over the weekend is interesting. Let's hope it's implantation!!! and if not, let's pray for a succesful next cycle. What better Christmas gift..... I'll be keeping up with you. It's your turn!! Lovemy4 -- Congrats on the awesome u/s! Grace is a beautiful name. My neighbor just gave birth at 37 weeks and her daughter is just fine. Tiny, but very healthy. ANGEL how are you doing? You're as quiet as I am these days. I hope you're staying busy and healthy....and warm! This week really took a turn for us weather wise! And Linds! My dear friend. Always the word of wisdom. What would we do without you ;) Think of me tomorrow girls.. I'll post when I can. I hope to be out of the hospital by Sunday. Hi there ladies - wow there is so much going on. Pam - I am so thinking of you for tomorrow I am so excited that you will be holding your little girl tomorrow. TTC#3 - I wish I knew more about IVF too but as has already been said - Linds usually knows her stuff so I would go with waht she is saying. Dr. Linds as I like to call her!!!! :o) Lovemy3 I am glad you had a great appt. I doubt you have rectal cancer - pregnancy does some strange things to your body and this is probably just one of those things.Relax and enjoy this pregnancy sweetie - I know it is easier said than done but this is your time - enjoy it!!!! Linds, how are things going with you lady - how is work? Have you bought your nursery furniture and bedding yet? My sister gave me her bassinette - Wyatt used it maybe for two months. Babyforcole how are things going with your cycle - keep us update. Things are good here - had a good time with my family last weekend. Got some cute maternity clothes. I am working on getting everything together for Piczo...slwoly but surely. I am officially out of my 1st trimester!!! Yippie!!!! |

Thinking and praying for you Pam today. Wow...our first baby! How exciting! Angel..out of your first trimester how awesome! I just started my third today as well! TTC..how are you dong with everything? What is your next step? babyforcole..where are you in all this? Linds..how are you doing? anything exciting going on? Found out today that my gucose test is high..surprise, surprise. And so now I have to take the 3 hour. My score was better than the past pregnancies though. Before I went straight to Endo. without even taking my 3 hour, at least now I'm getting the chance to take the 3 hour. Linds...what can I do to pass this 3 hour test? |

lovemy3, I never took the 3-hour test. I failed the first one. So remember, they made me start taking my sugar levels everyday... Well, now apparently, I don't have any signs of gestational diabetes at all, never had one bad sugar reading after one hour of eating and then two hours of eating for the last several months. The doctor thinks my initiial failure of the first one is linked with the metobolic problem linked with PCOS that made me fail the test, like "sluggish insulin", but the pancreas works fine, just the liver metabolizises sugar differently. I just had a CBC on Tuesday and they checked the hemoglobin, for the possibility of diabetes, and nothing...it was fine. So I jsut don't have any tips for you to pass the 3-hour test...I would say don't eat a big carb meal the night before, maybe that might help it. Angelkitty, yes, we did finish the baby's room...I love to spend time in there! And I can't believe how much clothest I am getting for this baby, I'm not having a shower, so everyone is just buying us clothes and seriously, he will be the best dressed kid on the block. I swear, babies don't need that much clothes, especially one born in the winter when he's locked away from the world. Oh well. |

Pam- thinking of you chica - our first little one from the thread - how awesome. It just makes me want to cry. Linds with all you have been through to get your little one here buy all the darned clothes you want girl!!! Dress that little boy to the hilt!!!! And then some!!!!! What is your nursery theme? When did you start buying clothes? I have not bought anything yet - I just wanted to wait until I got out of my first trimester and too I do not know if this is a boy or a girl so no need to buy anything yet. If it is a girl my sister bought enough girl clothes when she was so sure Wyatt was a girl that I am sure I will not have to buy anything for a while. Even the seasonal timing is perfect. My baby is due in May and Wyatt's bday is in May. How cool. Lovemy3 definitely stay away from Orange juice and carbs the night before your test. I would eat eggs or maybe a ton of green veggies - stay away from fruit that night if you can. Maybe have a big salad with some chicken added. TTC#3 I know how you are feeling about the coworker thing...when I was ttc I had two coworkers get pregnant, my sister got pregnant, two good friend got pregnant. I was happy for them but so sad for me. It just made me want to sit in the floor and cry. And some days I did. But you keep your head up lady. Things will fall into place. Look how your house worked out. You and your stbdh are making wedding plans - that worked out. It is going to be perfect. Babyforcole thinking of you - hope all is well. |
