Okay, here is my story, I'm 21 years old, my dh is 22, I have been off any form of bc since March 2004, three months before we got married. Doctor had to take me off b/c they were giving me really bad migrains. We weren't actually ttc then, but if it happened, then it happened and we would be happy. this past Dec we started actually ttc, I started charting, and spoke with my doctor. Since coming off bcp in 2004 my cycles have gotten longer and longer. This one being 79 days since my last period. I have found that I do ovulate, most of the time, just very late in my cycle. I was put on metformin in Feb. and will begin clomid in June. Was wanting other ladies around the same age and situation to talk with, just for support really.

ok here is my story. I am 22yo ttc starting last month by using clomid and doin IUI's. I found out about 6 months ago that i did not ovulate and probably never have. I was diagnosed with endometriosis about 5 years ago and they told me I would have a hard time getiing pg. Didn't really start ttc till January. Then I began all the blood work and the meds. All of my levels came back good with the meds but my eggs are still a little on the small side. I had my IUI 13 days ago and I started a/f today. I am so frustrated. I have no clue what to do and how long it is going to take me to get pg. I am gonna ask the dr to up my dosage and I will hopefully use the trigger shot this month.

HELLO MROSE AND GREENEYEDGEMINI. WELL, I'M 26 AND TRYING TTC AGAIN. I HAVE A 3 YEAR OLD SON BUT TRYING FOR ANOTHER BABY. I HAVEN'T BEEN ON BIRTH CONTROL FOR ABOUT 2 YEARS NOW. BUT I FIND IT VERY HARD TO CONCEIVE NOW. I'VE BEEN KEEPING UP WITH MY CYCLES AND OVULATION DAYS BUT ITS DOING NO GOOD. I'M THINKING ABOUT TRYING OVULEX OR SOMETHING. JUST ANYTHING TO HELP OUT. WELL MROSE, WHEN YOU SAY THAT YOU OVULATE VERY LATE IN YOUR CYCLE, WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU MEAN? BECAUSE I THINK I DO ALSO. WHAT IS METFORMIN? MY HUSBAND AND I WEREN'T EVEN TRYING TO CONCEIVE OUR 1ST CHILD BUT IT JUST HAPPENED. NOW THAT WE ARE PLANNING FOR ONE, IT DOESN'T SEEM TO HAPPEN. I HEAR A LOT OF PEOPLE SAY THEY ARE TAKING MUCINEX TO HELP THIN OUT THEIR CM SO I MIGHT TRY THAT ALSO. AND I ALSO HEAR THAT GERITOL MAKES YOU VERY FERTILE ALSO. WELL, GOOD LUCK GIRLS AND BABY DUST TO US ALL. KEEP US POSTED...

hello ladies, thank you for replying. treysmommy, Metformin is a pill that helps regulate your sugar levels, they also use it to try and help women with irregular cycles straighten out their cycles. And I mean that today is cd80 and I ovulated on cd56. It's no 24dpo, and no AF, I'm taking proverra to bring on my AF again this month. greeneyedgemini, you are using clomid and doing IUI's? My doctor believes I have PCOS but we haven't done everything yet to determine for sure. After my AF ends this time, if it ever starts, we are doing an ultrasound and checking all my levels. So we will see....treysmommy, have you tried clomid? and you mean musinex that you use for like cold and chest congestion? how does that work? i have some, that is why i'm asking....

treysmommy - May 4

WELL, YES THE MUCINEX THAT YOU TAKE FOR COLDS. MUCINEX IS SUPPOSED TO HELP THIN OUT THE CERVICAL MUCUS WHICH HELPS THE SPERM TRAVEL BETTER WHEN ITS THINNER. NO I HAVEN'T TRIED CLOMID. I HEAR A LOT OF PEOPLE SAY THEY HAVE A LOT OF SIDE EFFECTS WITH IT. SO I'M SCARED TO TRY IT. I'M THINKING ABOUT TRYING OVULEX.

Hi i am 22YO and have been trying to conceive for 15 months - like reallllyyy trying - without any luck. After going from doctor to doctor and each of them telling me there was nothing wrong with me or my DH and that we should keep ttc i finally insisted on further testing so i did a HSG which revealed i have a bicornuate uterus. I was referred to a gyno who did a HyCosy and it turns out i have a unicornuate uterus with a rudimentary horn. I will be starting clomid next month and am praying for a miracle.

Just so you know the side effects with clomid are mild compared to other stuff. They are basically menopausal symptoms which last for only the few days that you are taking clomid. The only thing that you should be careful about is hyperstimulation of the ovaries and if you have PCOS your doctor will put you on a low dose so you don't get really bad cysts.

hi girls, I am 22 and my husband is 27. we have been together for five years. for the first three years we never used protection and never got pregnant. we weren't trying but still that had me worried so i went to the doctor when i was 19 and cried my eyes out about not being able to have children. Dr. gave me an ultrasound on my ovaries and uterus and said everything looks fine and when the time comes that i want a baby and can't concieve, then come back and see him. then i got on the patch for 9 months during our third year. then last march we got engaged and being ttc. i went to the dr where they told me how to predict when you o. we tried that for six months or so and nothing. then december i got a hspgm dye test and came back clear. he got his sperm checked and is fine except low motility. started using opks this year and been o every month exept last month i didn't o and therefor my a/f was two weeks late. now i'm waiting to o any day now and then go get my c/m checked for hostility. i absolutley hate this and feel like a failure as a woman. everybody around me is getting pregnant and not planned. my b/f all of a sudden wants a baby and she's late. i cried all the time. dr keep telling us to just try another six months and if not then come back in. well it's been 14 months of "officially" trying now and nothing. WHAT'S NEXT. IS THERE ANY HOPE FOR ME. thanks for letting me vent. sorry it's soooooo long but at least you guys know me now.

Hi Crystal74, I totally understand where you are coming from. Doctors think that because you are young that automatically means you are fertile. It's almost as if they are making the decision for you about whether or not you should be trying to conceive. One doctor was so rude to me - she refused to give me any more tests and said that if she referred me to an infertility clinic they would laugh and send me right back to her because i was so young and 'healthy'. I switched doctors and 8 months after that i found out i have a unicornuate uterus which is a congenital anomaly and is basically half a uterus with one fallopian tube but 2 ovaries. I know what you mean when you say you feel like a failure as a woman - i have the same feeling- i always assumed that conception was something that every woman is able to do quite easily and when you have trouble doing something that should come somewhat naturally, you feel like a failure.

mrose yes I am doing clomid and IUI's I see that you asked treymommy about the mucinex. Robitussin also works it works in the that how when you are sick it thins flem well it does the same thing for all the mucus in your body. If you are doing IUI's it's not so much a concern becuase you bypass the cm. I know that my dr's thought I might have PCOS b/c it is common in girls with endometriosis. But thankfully I don't. I always had a really irregular cycle until the month I really started trying so I was keeping track and it came in at exactly 28 days when it used to be 14 days. Using clomid makes it a couple days longer. Except this month I was hoping af wouldn't show but day 28 there it was. Sorry it took so long to reply.

soph, i am sorry about your uterus and ovary. i wish you the best. our situation is very alike. it's nice to talk to someone who is in the same pool as you. i also got the hsg dye test done and my dr. said everything looks fine. but i just dont feel like everything is fine or else wouldn't i be pregnant by now?! it is very frustrating and stressful at times. i hate feeling like a failure cuz all my life i had high standards for myself and would achieve anything i put my mind to and now this. i just can't relax about it all. and i've become so distant from family and friends

greeneyedgemini616 - May 10

Soph i am so sorry to here that. For the longest time no dr even believed me when I said I thought I had endo and refused do to the diagnostic surgery to diagnose it. It took an u/s that looked like I had 2 cysts in my uterus and they were afraid it was cancer. Turns out it was a precancerous lining and a lot of endo inside. But it still took 4 different gyno's before anyone would touch me. Then I hd surgery in July and was told by January that even though I am only 22 I need to start trying or kiss the chance goodbye. They want me to get pg and then have a complete hysterectomy. So I can't stand dr.'s that think they know everything and just b/c you are young. You can have any problem at any age. My mom and 3 aunts all went through menopause at 35.

greeney, i am so sorry. i am about to go off on doctors, i swear. i haven't detected o since february. something is wrong here. i had my period in march then it was two weeks late in april. now i can't figure out when i'm going to o.

greeneyedgemini616 - May 10

Crystal74 are you on ant meds. What have the dr.'s told you???

crystal74 - May 10

greeney, i am not on any meds. i did the dye test about five months ago and came back clear. they told me to try for another six months then come back in. .i went around them and saw another dr who is infertility specialist and he wanted me to come in last month when i o to see if i had hostile c/m. i haven't been it to see him cuz i haven't o.

greeneyedgemini616 - May 10

You might not o naturally I didn't at all al they had to do was a day 21 progesterone which is supposed to be at least a 7-8 and mine was a 1. That would mean not only are you not o but your uterine lining is not thickening either. I never had really good cm until I started on clomid and it is said to make it hostile.

crystal74 - May 10

maybe your right. my cycles have always been 28 days for as long as i can remember
