1st time on clomid

today i took my last pill days 5-9. today is wednesday, on friday i get a blood test and maybe a scan my doctor told me to be monitored becasue i had lap surgery last week and i have alot of follis. anyways i feel kinda of drained and a lil bit sick and feel like i always want to sit down. at first taking the meds i would feel a bit ill within 2 hours of taking the pill now it seems its all thw time is it normal? today, iv also started to feel weird pulls and twitches in my lower gut, i hope my scan goes ok and everything is alright. i have PCOS and just got endo removed. TTC for over a year with 2nd child the doc thinks clomid will def work for me what will i expect this month, ill find out friday but im wanting to know when ill ovulate now if i stoped my last pill today when should i roughly?

It's hard to say when ovulation will happen. I've been on clomid a total of 5 times and I've ovulated different each cycle. I also have pcos. I usually ovulate between days 14 and 22. So I would say to plan on having intercourse like starting on day 11 and go at least every other day til like day 23. You can chart your temps to see when ovulation is happening. yumymumy, I'm starting my first time on clomid cd 5-9 next week. (I hope). I'm on provera right now to try to start my menses so I can take the clomid. My last pill of provera is tonight so hopefully I'll get af this week and be able to start clomid.
So I saw where you commented on some of the side effects are they really horrible. Or okay to deal with? I'm like super nervous b/c I was on bc for so long that my cycles have always been normal. Now after taking that Lupron for 6mnths. I'm all messed up. Now my thyroid is out of whack. Anyway I just liking hearing about this and talking about it. The anxiety is getting a bit much for me. How about you? How does your dh feel about it?

thanx for replys. im on day 14 and after blood test after blood test and scan they thought i was to ovulate tuesday (today) but i ended up have more blood work.... and now tomorrow MORE blood taken... my arms are roped and i have cream for it... but the worse part is she rang me today and said it seems im not responding to the medication anymore!! thoughout taking clomid 1 egg foll grew and all my levels were going up then nothing?! the day before it seemed i was about to ovulate.... im so upset... even tho im having the trigger shot tomorrow they told me it will force the egg to pop im having doubts. i dont know what my problem is... i just has laparascopy and D&C & dye thro my tubes a week and half ago and all my endo is gone... im told i have alot of eggs and i this will work for me... i feel so bad.. hubby says dont worry its only my 1st round of clomid BUT we have already been trying for over a year... and it took 2 and halfs yrs to fall preg with my son and i feel like treatment was suposed to work and i feel like its not going to im sorry to go on but i feel like crying....
memillner... i thought i had no side effects at first besides feeling a bit sick but i dont know if this is normal to feel soo moody and emotional around this time of the cycle on clomid but i feel terrible... i thought the whole sick feeling would hit me with clomid because iv been on provera before and that was really bad for me... i was moody, sick and crampy the whole time and it took 17 days to get AF after my last provera pill... i hope i never have to take it again....

Oh gosh yumymumy, I'm so sorry to hear about your experiences and now this.
You have every right to feel disappointed and frustrated. Sometimes I feel like if I wouldn't have taken some of the meds I'd be normal and my cycles wouldn't have quit completely. BUT you can't dwell on the "what ifs". I'm with your dh, it's your first round. From what I've read 50mg isn't enough for some woman... so perhaps they'll up the dosage. I feel your pain honestly. We all do. Hang in there, I'm thinking about you.

For me... I haven't been sick on the provera. I took it at night right before bed. The only thing I've noticed is sore breast and moody. I just took my last pill last night. Waiting for af. It's been 11 months since my last cycle and I'm afraid I might miss the first day or mistake spotting to be it. WHOOA! Lots to think about and go thru but we're stronger and more appreciative b/c of it.
We're together on this!

my last period was 10/14/07,took 50mg clomid on days 16-20. had sex on the 23rd. doctor said have sex on 27,29,and 31. had sex midnite of 10/30. tonite had pink/brown spotting then a dark/bright red but only when i wipe.starting sunday my breasts are sore and nipples are VERY sore,erect and montgomery glands are sore raised and there seems to be more of them. slightly nauseaous. bloated and pain in side and abdomen. metal taste in mouth. thought it could be implantation bleeding but hpt neg. tonite. is it too early to be pregnant if i am or is it clomid symptoms?

hope31: do you take glucophage/metformin? that stuff causes the metal taste.
