Any help appreciated. A friend said I should try Gonal F again as IVF was BFN but I am not sure how many days to inject and on which day or days to have timed intercourse as ovulation and the follicle/egg only lasts 24 hours? or so, but sperm can live for a few day etc. If the follicle is e.g. 15 mm it needs to be fertilised at time of ovulation and do I need to take some artificial trigger to ovulate or can I use Gonal F to recruit an egg or eggs as I have low ovarian reserve, over 40 then just have intercourse at those time(s). I am sick and tired of going to the clinic. They are rude and indifferent to me and my partner. ALL I want to know is HOW long do I take Gonal F, I know you cannot tell me the dosage but I am interested in other people's age, experience and what protocol they used etc. what dosage have others tried via this method PLEASE. Do not ask me to see a doctor, they just want us to do more IVF and the price is too much and their behaviour has put us off, I am sure you people know more than they do at this stage and your stories are really appreciated. Sorry to sound so terse we just feel so sad and lied to and given the run around and the nurses are dismissive and do not communicate well with the doctors who just want turn over and to get people in and out of their offices for maximum profit. That has been our experience. I have the drugs left from cancelled cycle and I want to time my intercourse and instead of IUI just have sex at the times that may facilitate a pregnancy which is what the doctors wanted us to do. Would going for an ultrasound after day 5? to check on follicle growth be advised and what general clinic would do that etc.? I am in Melbourne. Any stories of feedback would be appreciated. Sorry if the tone sounds angry it is not I have just been crying all day and feel so alone like no one out there has been through this but I read some posts and you sound like kind and wonderful strong women.
