IUI Without fertility drugs

Hello Everyone!

I'm very anxious and wondering what other people's thoughts are regarding IUI without fertility meds. We are getting ready to have our First IUI at the end of November. Our doctor has talked to us about using fertility meds and has said that when first starting there is no real evidence showing a significant increase in conception while using as opposed to not using. She has advised us to use the ovulation predictor kits and to start this way for at least 1-2 cycles. We are paying out of pocket for these treatments-and even thought not using them is cheaper; what are your thoughts on this? Has anyone on here concieved through IUI without medications???

really??what i know is that you need to take fertility drugs prior to IUI procedure to have better results. never tried it but i was supposed to go through this so basically i have idea about the procedure.

depending on the cause of your fertility problem. some women may need to take fertility drugs for about a week before the iui procedure.

i think it's more important to take fertility drugs before iui procedure. this way,
pregnancy rate increases 2 times than having iui procedure alone.
