I'm so confused! I've been diagnosed with PCO,I started taking Metformin 3 weeks ago & took Clomid on the 5th day of cycle, which was 7/2.I started taking ovulation test on day 12 and taking my temp.It showed I ovulated on 7/13& 7/14,I did the baby dance on 7/12,7/13&7/14,7/19.My temp never went up until 7/20.Am I doing this right? help! I've been trying for 7yrs!

The OPK lets you know you are having a surge and that you SHOULD ovulate in the next 12-48 hours. That said, our bodies don't always do what we want them to do. So, even though you may have gotten a positive OPK there is no guarantee that you actually O'd. When you have PCO, and are having to take drugs like Clomid to O, it's very important to watch all signs of fertilty to make sure. Like your CP or your CM (which could be nonexistent on Clomid). My suggestion for the next cycle is to get busy just before you expect to see that positive OPK then stay busy until you see that temp rise. That way you have all bases covered. Have you ever read the bood Take Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Wechsler? It might be Taking Charge of Your Fertility (I never get it right). It's an absolute must have when TTC. She'll tell you what you should or shouldn't do. It's great

I bought mine online at Barnes and Noble but I'm sure you can find it in the women's section at any bookstore.
