Anyone know when to start taking Vitex?

I have recenltuy had a miscariage and had a D&C that was 12 days ago the ovualtion kit showed positve but this may be hormones left over from the pregnancy. I am really keen to concieve again and considered taking vitex and Dong Quai but do i need to wait until my first period?
