5 days late on clomid

hello everyone im new on this forum and im glad that there are links like this to help people like me. i took clomid on my 3rd day of AF and my period was late for 5 days. i have a very regular period but clomid make my AF delayed for 5 days i took hpt but it turned out negative. now i have my AF naturally without the help of provera or duphaston. my ob told me to take clomid again. i just wnt to know if this is a good idea again since my period was late due to clomid? pls i need help and advice tnx..

hi lorenjim,

so you took clomid on what days? days 3-7?
my dr told me that taking it days 5-9 gives better quality eggs, he (his opinion)says that his colleague recommends days 1-5 or 3-7 even though it can cause irregular periods, so many try days 5-9?
