Hello,

I'm Charlotte, i am 30 and i have a daughter who is 8 with my fiance of 14 years.
I had the contraceptive coil put in after my daughters birth and then had it removed when she was 2.
We have been trying for baby number 2 for 6 years
(Fell for my Daughter naturally)
I have mild pcos and don't ovulate a lot naturally but everything else is fine, (tubes etc) and my partner has been tested and he is also fine.
Went and saw the consultant last week and she said that we will get 6 cycles on clomid. This is the first time i will have tried it.

I was told to take 100mg on days 2-6 of my cycle (took my first dose on sat night as AF Came on friday)

When AF Arrived i had to call her and let her know and she booked me in for an 8 day scan to check follicles and she said that if they are pleased withthe size of follicle/follicles then i will get an injection of pregnyl to trigger ovulation. (8 day scan is this friday)

However i have some questions and i am wondering if anyone can help?

1) After reading online i realize that on an 8 day scan my follicles are probably not going to be big enough for the pregnyl shot (according to most women, follicles were at correct size on day 12 onwards). will probably have to go back for another scan to check size of follicles which makes me wonder why i am even booked in for an 8 day one if its not going to show anything?
2) Has anyone had any experience taking the 2 together?

I'm quite anxious about it to be honest and its totally not how i wanted to be feeling. i hope once the scans done i will feel better.

Sorry for the big essay just wanted to give as much info as possible to get some advice.

Thanks

Charlotte x
