I HAD MY SECOND IUI 1 WEEK AGO. I FEEL A LIL CRAMPING COULD THAT MEAN SOMETHING?

amy - April 17th, 2005 8:52 AM

Tania, it could mean your pregnant but it may not! It's too early to tell.. I had dull cramping in my first pregnancy and then had it again this cycle, but af came...this will be IUI #2 post-m/c for me...good luck to you!

Hi all! I had my 3rd IUI on March 25, now I'm 24 dpo and still no a/f. I've taken several hpt, but was negative. On 14 dpo, I had some extremely light spotting, hoping it was implantation bleeding. The last hpt I took was on April 16, guess I'll give it a try again tomorrow. I know with my son, I tested negative on hpt many times before a positive. Good luck to all of you!

I am 7 days past my 1st IUI, and this whole week I have felt really light dull cramps low in my pelvis, and pangs like when I am urinating. Has anyone else had anything like this- and does it mean anything?

Cazza - April 25th, 2005 12:13 AM

My fetrility specialist advised me after my first IUI a week ago that I may feel a dull cramp and the reason is that, because they place the washed sperm in a place that it all wouldn't normally be, your uterus trys to reject it, hence the cramping. I have had the cramping about 4 days after and then spotted a while later and more cramps. I am just putting it down to the IUI procedure. I was told to take Asprin to get rid of it. x x

What if you have a positive hpt 5/6 days after 1st IUI.

mls - April 25th, 2005 10:01 AM

intrauterine insemination (iui)

tally - April 25th, 2005 11:26 AM

after IUI how long do you wait to take a hpt?? can you test before 2 weeks??

Beth - April 25th, 2005 2:02 PM

A week after IUI I had cramping and pain in the abdomen. I am in my second week of the 2WW.

karee - April 25th, 2005 6:25 PM

To answer Tally- I think the most accurate results for the HPT is waiting the 2 weeks- if you take it before (in my case) you will get a false positive due to the HSG (shot) hormone is still in your system. I'm also in my 2WW & I think this may be the longest 2 weeks of my life!! Good luck Beth!! Lots of baby dust! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Oh- thanks to Cazza for the advise! I didn't get any of that from my dr!!

Tally - April 26th, 2005 7:13 AM

Thanks Karee!!
I am on day 8 after my IUI.
Good Luck to you!

ReeRee - April 29th, 2005 6:15 AM

Thank you so much Sonya for the positive words. I have gone through a total of 4 IUIs (the last one being the only one with Clomid) and will be at my 2 week mark tomorrow. I already took two tests but it was too early and they were negative, I will test again on Sunday to see what happens.

karee - April 30th, 2005 9:57 AM

Hey ReeRee- are you feeling any different? Tomorrow is my test day for IUI too, I'm really anxious to take it now!!! I'm feeling sort of like I was going to start earlier in the week- but af hasn't shown any signs just yet. My bb's are really sore, but I am on Progesterone pills, so I read they may make af late... so I wonder if I'm over thinking all of this? Anything on your end? Good luck to you!!

Keely - May 4th, 2005 12:00 PM

I had an iui 14 days ago, im going to wait until this weekend to take a test just so its more accurate. I am having stomach cramps and my chest is really sore? Think I could be pregnant?? I hope so :) We have been trying for 18 months.
