Heather, Congrats on your ++++ hpt!!! That's so exciting. I hope the doc. confirms that all is well. Best of luck. It's cd 27 for me and still waiting for af. I don't really think that this is the month for me...starting to feel some cramps. It's been 14 mos. of ttc. I have been really more relaxed about ttc...I figure I better take a new approach...stressing out isn't working for me. Kellyn, I'm in the same boat as you for next month. dh will be out of town around ovulation. I was hoping that he wouldn't be because I just had an HSG performed this month and was told that the 1st 3 mos. after I have a better chance of conceiving. Oh well. Lots of baby dust to all!!!!!

miranda - September 11th, 2005 6:49 PM

HI everyone! Did anyones dr tell you not to bd on certain days before ovulation or is it ok to do it anytime????Like skip days 9-11 or something...I think i might be misreading some things....

miranda - September 11th, 2005 6:51 PM

i mean while using clomid that cycle......sorry forgot to add that...

KellyN - September 11th, 2005 7:04 PM

Heather that is SOOOOOOO awesome!! OMG, I am so happy for you!!! Yeah, we got a BFP on this thread!!!!!! Miranda, I've nver heard of not being able to bd anytime you want, though some people have told me every other day works better. My doc gives me an hcg shot every month to make me o within 36 hours. They told me to wait until the day after the shot to start bd, then bd again for three more days (in case I o later). Well, official af has not shown yet. I keep feeling like its going to be here and keep running to the bathroom, but then all I get is just more very faint pinkish creamy stuff. Its too late for implantation bleeding isn't it? I'm currently 17 dpo.

What great news Heather---hope the doctor confirms the BFP! Just curious...are you staying on the Metformin during pregnancy...if so, what dosage amount? Let me know what the doctor says...that's so exciting! I finally had O come this weekend and now my temp is climbing--praise God! Hope everyone else is doing well!

Amanda - September 12th, 2005 10:07 AM

Julie - September 12th, 2005 11:59 AM

Hi everyone... Congrats Heather!! :) I'm STILL waiting to here from my dr. from my blood test last week, tomorrow will be a week, come on! My temps are still in the 98.1-3 range.. So who knows??

Heather - September 12th, 2005 1:48 PM

Thanks for your support! They made me go in this morning for my progesterone test since I missed it. I will be taking 2000 mg of Metformin daily through the 1st trimester. That has changed over the years. They used to make you stop as soon as you got pregnant. For me, my worst side effects were from the Met. I've been on it since the end of May & I'm used to it by this point. So Amanda, you may have an upset stomach until you reach the max your doc wants you to take.
Julie-I'm glad your temps are staying up. I think that is a great sign. I'll keep you all posted. Talk to ya soon! Baby dust to all of you!!! =)

KellyN - September 12th, 2005 2:55 PM

Well I finally got real af flow today, and my temp dropped all the way down to normal pre-o levels. Dh will not be able to come home, so I officially have the month off. It will be kind of nice to not take the clomid this month and just see how things go naturally taking the avandia (kind of like metamorphin, but a different brand). Plus I have a big packpacking trip with my mom planned for the end of this month, so now I don't have to worry about being pg for that. Julie are you going to take a hpt, or just wait for the doc blood test? Amanda, did starting the clomid early in your cycle stop the flow of your af this time? That happened to me last time, and I'm wondering if it was the clomid, or if it was just a really short flow. Also did you manage to get a hold of the brand name clomid instead of generic?

Julie - September 12th, 2005 3:06 PM

Ok, well I finally heard from my Dr... the blood test showed that I didn't ovulate when I went in for my cd 21 blood test, which was really cd 23 due to Labor Day weekend. I did tell him my temps shot up on cd 24, he said it's possible I could have ovulated then. I told him my temps are still up. He originally told me if by cd 35 I didn't get my AF to take a HPT, if that was negative to then start prometrium and clomid again. Now he wants me to wait until cd 39 to do that just in case I did ovulate on the cd 24... If I do need to start the clomid again, he is going to up it to 100mg instead of 50mg..... I'll keep you posted..... I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Amanda - September 12th, 2005 3:12 PM

hey kellyn ..yes the clomid stops the af for some reason.. and i am taking the generic this time... so we will see.. sorry to hear your hubby not coming home.. but i hope you have a good time on your trip.... and julie keep us posted on how things are going .. and angel ,,, whats going on ??? how are you doing .. let us know.... talk to everyone laters..GOOD LUCK EVERYONE :)

Julie - September 12th, 2005 3:13 PM

Also, someone had asked me to post what my levels were after my progesterone blood test.. It was 1.5 which shows I did not ovulate(at least not by then). He said he would have like to have seen them around at least 5.... :( So it was quite low...

Kerri - September 12th, 2005 7:35 PM

I finally got the bloodwork results from the doctor--he said that my gluclose levels were fine and the tests were all within normal limits, but my testosterone and androgens were doubled what they should be which is consistent with PCO. I began taking Metformin tonight--will eventually work up to 2000mg. My prayer is that my body will respond well to it and hopefully not have any nasty side effects. The dr will check my progesterone level 7dpo---I think I ovulatued on cd 31. Hey Julie...sounds like you had late O too this month---I think you DID O on cd24 if your temps went up and are still up..so that's a good sign.

Gina - September 13th, 2005 7:43 AM

Heather congrats! Hope everything goes well with you! Im still waiting to start af. not cramping anymore so kinda wondering whats going on. the 6th was the last day of taking progesterone and still no AF! amanda, didnt you start a few days aftre ending porgesterone? im so confused. Good luck to everyone.

Amanda - September 13th, 2005 9:03 AM

Hey there gina... sometimes it can take a few days for af to show up... how long have you been waiting??? i would give it a week and if still nothing i would call my docotor.. good luck

miranda - September 13th, 2005 9:05 AM

Gina, I took prometrium (progesterone) to start my af and it took a week for me to get mine...finished on a sunday got af next sat....so hang in there....i finished my clomid a few days ago with no major side effects and now taking estradiol for the drying of clomid....baby dust to all!!!
