Dear serssie. I am a huge believer in destiny so i believe that everything happens for a reason.. now beileving in that doesnt make it hurt less... but i guess it gives hope. I am now trying to fill my time with activities... taking dance classes and im already finishing my masters degree.. so im trying my best not to think about the subject. ow and im spotting which means im gonna get my period in few days... hopefully.. because it's been like 40 days now and i feel soooo bloated. and once I have it , my doc said i have an ovarian cyst which has to be removed by laparoscopy :( I did the same procedure 8 months ago and it was very annoying. |

Samantha kent..... metformin is a pill that is mostly recommended for diabetics however it is used to aid fertility in overweight women and those with ( polycystic ovarian syndrome PCOS. It creates a balanced harmone and allow AF to be regulated. |

Hi all! I feel your pain. I got pregnant with my first child on the first try of clomid and an iui. I have now been trying for a year and on my third iui after a laproscopy. I am so frustrated. I am on my tww now it has been 11 dpiui. I am having all the symptoms like breast soreness, lower back pain but I just have to keep telling myself it is likely the clomid or ovidrel effecting my hormones. Anyway good luck to all. samanthakent- good luck with the cyst I had one for two months, my obgyn drained it when he did my last laproscopy....good luck baby dust to all. |

Hey Samanthakent.....sorry I took so long to respond. I was away on vacation and did not have much internet access. I am a teacher by profession and I am doing a masters in Education. June 29, was my birthday hope you had a happy one and wasn't in the hospital. A close friend of mine from the job is pregnant after being off birth control for just a month and without using anything to assist her , I am happy for her but secretly I wondered, why not me? I hope I am not a bad person for thinking that. I pray this month will be the month for us as I now wish for us similar dates. Best of luck to us all and may you be granted a lot of baby dust. |

Hi everyone! This forum has been extremely helpful! Me and my husband are TTC#1 and I was recently diagnosed with PCOS after not having a period for 3 months after quitting birth control. My doctor put me on Provera for 10 days and it worked perfectly. I then started taking Clomid 50 mg on days 5-9 and now I am on day 35 and I have had a -HPT and no AF. I have an appointment this Thursday again to see my doctor - My doctor though did not see me throughout my cycle for blood work or anything to check to see if I actually ovulated. I had tried to use the home ovulation tests but they were so confusing for me, I guess I read on here they do not work for people with PCOS? I don't have a diabetic problem and I am not overweight...sometimes I wonder if PCOS is the correct diagnosis. Is it abnormal for the doctor to not test you the first month to see if you've ovulated? It is so great to hear from people going through the same thing...I feel so down sometimes (like today) and I even feel as if my own friends are sick of hearing about it...so good luck to everyone!! :) |

Hi..I'm new to this forum and I thought I would share what I'm experiencing to get some advice and to mabye help someone else. My husband and I have been TTC for almost 14 months without any luck. We recently found out from a fertility specialist that my husband has a low sperm count and that our chances for conceiving on our own were low. After speaking with the specialist it was decided that I would go on Clomid and that we would try for a few months on our own. Afther that we could move on to an inter-uterine insemination if we were unsuccessful. So, in December I started Clomid 50mg on days 3-7. I was due to start my period on 1/3/10. On 1/1/10 I thought I was starting my period because I spotted, but it quickly went away. I did this for 3 days (no cramps or period symptoms besides the spotting). Because I wasn't sure if that was a period or not and because I wasn't sure if I should start the next round of Clomid I called the doctor and went in for an ultrasound and blood pregnancy test. Ultrasound showed I had a cyst and blood test came back negative. Doctor said wait until my next period to start the Clomid because it could make the cyst worse but that it should disolve on its own. As of today I have not started my period. It has been 58 days since my last normal period. I'm so frustrated at this point. The last advice I got from the doctor was to take another pregnancy test on Monday (1/7/10) and call us with the results. We have gone from the problem being my just with my husband to now having issues with me. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? |

Well reiskkilkenny and craigandi...just wanted to let you know that I took the pregancy test on Monday and it came back negative. I contacted the doctor and they prescribed me Prometrium in order to induce a period. I picked up the medicine and 2 hours later I started my period on my own (39 days later). I guess my body was just scared of taking more medicine so it decided to do what it was supposed to do for once. Anyway, since I started I called the doctor and have a vaginal ultrasound scheduled for Thursday in order to get a baseline so that we can start the IUI process. They are also checking to see if the cyst has dissolved on its own (keep your fingers crossed!). The only advice that I can think to give is to be patient and to keep your doctor informed. I know it's hard to do when you want something so bad...Best of luck to you both! |

Wow hopeful444. Are our bodies crazy or what? :) So much seems black and white about everything but there is mostly just these huge gray areas that we try to navigate in this process. I wish you great succes and am saying a prayer for you. |
