well I have been on met for 3 weeks I finally starting ovulating, I do not remember ovulating ever in my life. I was told this a mircale drug.... and it can take up to a couple of weeks to a year i was told if you take it correctly.

yes i am on met for a month now and i haven't had my period. It's made me real sick. I've been getting nauseous and had it's sent me a few times to the bathroom. I've also lost some weight. I haven't had my period though. I think it's weird. We would love to have a baby though. I took a pregnancy test 2 weeks ago and it came out negative. I might try one later on today just to be sure.

Hi Joanne, I also just stated metformin and I was told if is taken correctly it can take up to a couple of weeks or months to a year, but I also hear alot of sucess story for women with pcos. My husband and I have been trying for a year and in August was dx with pcos and start take met as soon as my next cycle so next time around I hope it will be my turn....LOL

how did you get on did you do another pg test? my fingers are crossed for you... thats me been on met for a week and i feel really sick.. been to the bathroom a few times too, i just hope that it works....

hi hopeinmemphis, I am currently taking metformin 1000mg twice day, i do have pcos and my husband and I are ttc for a year now and I started taking metformin in August so I heard this is a med to take so we are keeping our finger crossed.....good luck to you sweetie!!!

I have been on metformin for 3months now and no luck at pregnancy. I've been having my period on my own without Metformin for quite sometime. I haven't came on and I'm usually on time, so I took a test last night and it came out negative! I don't know whats going on ..I wanna try Clomid after 6 months of being on Metformin. Hi. I'd like to introduce myself. I've been reading this forum for a bit and want to jump in. I am dx with PCOS, have had one m/c and am currently ttc with metformin.

My questions to you guys is, my doc has me on only 500mg of metformin a day.Is anyone else out there on such a low dose? I talked to my doc about increasing the dose over time and he said that the lastest research shows that increasing beyond 500mg has not shown to be necessarily beneficial.

Has anyone else heard of this? My doc has been great and understanding about everything else.

I was wondering..for those that has had success at getting pregnant on metformin...How often did you guys have sex? Once Twice a day? Every other day? HELP?

I took the test a few days ago and it came out negative :(. I took it at the end of the day. I don't know if that has something to do with it. I still haven't had a period. I'm having a follow up appt. in a few weeks. We'll see what the doctor says. Good luck to all!

i take metformin 3 x's a day at 1500 mg all together. I have only been on it for about a month now and we are still trying.good luck to you all.

Well, so far metformin has not made a significant difference in my BBTs. Has anyone seen a change? Have any of you with PCOS seen a bi-phasal shift after taking Met?

Hi. Not sure if this will help all of you that feel poorly whilst on Metformin but I think it definately helps if you dont take tablet after eating high sugar / fatty foods. If you know you are eating bad, take your tablet at a different time (if I know I am having takeaway, I have my tablets with breakfast and lunch or, I have a late evening snack of an apple and take my tablet then) I find that I dont feel so sick then! I have been on MF for almost two months and am just finishing my first period in ages!! I am hoping this is a good sign and I am thinking about buying one of those ovulation tests to see if anything is happening.....

Hi! I had an ultra sound on 11/16 which was cd14. A couple of small follies and I took Chlomid days 5-9 so the doctor put me on metormin but said she didnt promise a pg this month. How big should the follies be? Since last Friday I have been pretty crampy. I am due for my period this Friday. Did anyone else get very crampy?

I meant to ask...Is anyone else freaked out about the risk of death from this med becuase it can cause Lactic acidosis (?)?? I am a bit worried
