Hi ladies..glad to hear most of you are doing well. Debbie, hang in there..I know how you feel. When my AF started a couple of weeks ago I was upset but I re-grouped and feel alot more postivie again. Just hang in there and don't put to much pressure on yourself..things always have a way of working out. Well, DH and I went in yesterday for my sono. I had two follies on the left side about 20 and the other 17, and one on my right that was sitting at 15. Dr. decided to give me one more day of follistim, then trigger on Sunday, and IUI on Tuesday.. The nurse told me before I left that dr. might trigger me tonight or give me one more night to get that other follie up. Hopefully, that 15 will grow a bit and I can go into the IUI with three good eggs. Anyway, I go back on Tuesday for the IUI so I'll keep you ladies posted.

Sorry it's been so long since I posted - between working full time and going to grad school I hardly have time to think! Debbie - sorry that AF has come. Carrie - I'm so sorry that AF arrived, but good luck on this cycle! Edy - good luck with your IUI this month. Anna - I also saw that program about the RE that was using his own sperm - scary... I also had pain with my first IUI - an intense fullness, prob. from overstim. I am now on cd 5 and I have been taking Follistim 75 IU for the past 2 days. I go in tomorrow for another US and bld work. My initial US counted 6 or 7 follicles on the rt. and 7 on the Lt. Is that good, bad??? I have felt ok with the follistim, but it really has just started. I had a rough time with the clomid (hot flashes, acne, severe mood swings), so anything has to be better! The toughest part of the injectible therapy is going into the office so freq. - this is like another full-time job!

hi girls!!! I'm back. i had a much needed break. we had a girls weekend in Vegas and it was so fun. Anna, i'm so glad that you're back. i thought we had lost you. Okiejpb, i love L.A. but i do miss Houston. Debbie, sorry for your AF. that sucks!!! Mari, how are you doing this cycle? have you had your IUI yet? Carrie, good luck on round 2. Erin, hopefully your lining will thicken and your initial u/s looks promising. Edy, have you had your IUI yet? happy baby thoughts to all that are trying. Lynn, Okiejpb, our time will come soon. the days are going by so fast. i'm still going to the acupuncturist and waiting for O to come. in the meanwhile, we are BD and just enjoying ourselves the good old fashion way!

Edy - November 7th, 2005 12:40 PM

Hey everyone!! Helen I am glad you had a good trip! Well I am doing my trigger today at 5 and possibly another Follistim. It depends on b/w. I have 1at 17 and 1 at 14. They are doing like Carries RE and trying to get that one a little bigger. I will do 1st IUI on WED. Carrie- It looks like we will be in the 2ww together. Erin- Dont' worry about how many Follicles you have in the begining because it can be very frustrating. I know because I have severe PCOS and started off with 24 on my right ovary. As long as your RE stimulates you slowly only some of those Follicles will mature. I know what you mean about this being like another Full time job. My RE is 2 hours away and I have been going twice a week for 3 weeks now. It will all be worth it!! Good Luck to you! I hope everyone else is having a good day. Please keep me in your prayers!!!

Debbie - November 7th, 2005 4:15 PM

Thanks to all for your support. You all have helped me a lot. Tomorrow I'm going in for a baseline sono. Will try this month and then take a break next month because I'm going on a cruise. Yeah!!! That should help me get my mind of things for a while.

Okiejbp - November 7th, 2005 4:45 PM

Helen-Welcome back. Edy, Anna, Mari, Carrie - Hope your IUI's went well. Sending prayers and lots of baby dust your way. Mari-How was your appt on Saturday? Debbie-sorry about AF. Hope I haven't forgotten anyone.

Erin - November 7th, 2005 8:07 PM

Thanks Helen & Edy - it helps to hear from those who are going through this. I saw my RE today and I will up my Follistim to 150 IU tonight and see them again on Wed. Hope everyone is doing well! I see that there is a new post starting - I'll check it out.

Lynn - November 7th, 2005 9:21 PM

Sounds like everyone is busy in a cycle, waiting or just chilling for the IVF cycles. I hope one of us soon become prego so we can have a happy story in here. We have decided to go to the beach for Thanksgiving and our last break away before we decide to begin in December or wait until January. Being a teacher, I am thinking December would be a good shot since we have time off for the holidays and maybe I won't need to take time from work. Well, it sounds like we are all doing okay. talk to you later....

Debbie - November 8th, 2005 10:58 AM

residual cysts were found on my left ovary..so I will be on bc for two weeks..then another sono..and then start injectables again.

Mari - November 8th, 2005 1:46 PM

Hi Girls, Helen - welcome back glad u had fun. Okiejpb - I wasn't ready for my hcg shot on saturday so i had it sunday (follies weren't big enough). Had ici yesterday and iui today. I'm taking it easy today, dh prepared lunch :-). Baby dust and prayers for everyone.

helen - November 8th, 2005 6:41 PM

hi girls. thanks all!! Mari, how many follies did you have? how was your IUI this cycle, any pain? i wish you all the luck sweetie!!! Debbie, we've all experienced cysts after the IUI cycle. it just comes with the territory. sorry. Lynn, its great that you get to start in Dec. are you having normal periods? and how is your anemia? any more pain after the ectopic? when do you go for your next appt? Okiejpb, did you have soreness in the uterus area after your hysteroscopy? i am noticing some sensitivity or muscle tenderness. Carrie, how did your IUI go today? Edy, good luck tomorrow. have a good dream tonight! everyone is on diff cycles this month, it's hard to keep up with everyone. Anna, how is your 2ww going? are you driving yourself crazy? when do you go in for your beta? Mari, Edy, Anna, Erin, Carrie, Happy baby thoughts, loads of baby dust, and many prayers to you this month!!! (am i leaving anyone out?) Erin, i hope your cycle is going well and let us know how your appt. goes. Okiejpb, i'm so excited to start IVF also. i'm wondering if i shouldn't go ahead and start the cycle in Dec rather than Jan. what do you think? i should learn to have more patience right? well, talk to you girls later!!!

Lynn - November 8th, 2005 6:51 PM

Helen...I agree with it becoming difficult keeping up with everyone. I always feel like I am leaving someone out but not meaning to. Glad you had fun in Vegas. Hubby and I are off to beach on 23rd. I need to e-mail RE for what to do at end of Nov. We never really talked about it. Anemia is getting better. Sister-in-law said even after stopping meds...it takes 3-4 months to get iron levels back. Spinning spells have gotten better. only every so often. Thanks for asking. Anyone who is 2ww, let us know how your doing so we can cheer along with you. IVF friends...let us know what month everyone has finally decided on so we can support you through this new adventure. Anyone know if they will be doing a cycle in December? talk to y'all soon....

Carrie - November 8th, 2005 8:16 PM

Well, I had IUI today. Everything went great. She said I had 3 good follicles and DH sperm looked good. There was no pain and I seem to be feeling fine. I do have some slight cramping but other than that I'm okay. I go in next Tuesday for the progestrone blood work and then just the waiting. Thanks for the uplifting spirts.. I hope it is a good month for us all, not just physically but more importantly, emotionally. Thanks ladies..hugs and kisses

Okiejbp - November 9th, 2005 10:03 AM

Helen-I did have some cramping for several days after the hysteroscopy as well as a very bloated, full feeling. Is there a reason that you were going to wait until January to start IVF (was it your decision or the RE's)? I guess really a lot depends on when in December, but I wouldn't think you'd want to start it if it would interfere (not the right word in this case) with the holidays. Based on the length of my usual cycle w/o meds, I'm due to start my period December 24, so I'd just be starting the bcp's. Do you know if you will be on bcp's? At first I thought that everyone was put on bcp's, but I've read some posts elsewhere where some women didn't need the bcp's. Obviously you'll know what's best for you, but I say go for it in December if you can, or just enjoy all of the holidays w/o any of the anxiety that's present when ttc. Just my 2 cents:)

helen - November 9th, 2005 9:22 PM

thanks Okiejpb-it was my decision to skip Dec. and start IVF in Jan. i didn't want the added stress of the holidays to interfere with the cycle. i won't be on bcp but i will be on some sort of suppression meds. i'll go in Dec. 21 to do u/s and start meds to suppress. i could have started at the end of this month and do the retrieval in the mid of Dec. but decided to wait out the holidays and just enjoy the time off. but now i'm getting impatient!!! well, it looks like our cycles will be around the same time. how exciting! i'm so glad to share this experience with you. Lynn, just listen to what your body is telling you and don't let fear take over this up coming cycle. i know with everything you've gone through, you can't help but to be somewhat scared and skeptical. but i wish you the happiness you felt when you first came on this forum. you were the only one here who had any good news...though short-lived, we all were so happy for you. Carrie, i'm so glad that your IUI went well. Is it any diff for you this time around? Mari, what's up with you? how did your IUI go? Edy, did you have your IUI today too? well, sweet baby dreams girls!!!!

Edy - November 9th, 2005 10:13 PM

Helen- I did have IUI this am and it went great. NO cramping, NO pain! Had 1 possibly 2 follicles rupture. DH count was 95mil after wadh. I was so excited. I start prometrium on Sat night on sitting tight for the 2ww. I do feel really good about this month. God has just worked everything out with this cycle.I don't blame you for wanting to wait until after the holidays to do IVF. If you think it would stress you out to much and you could not enjoy them I would definetly wait. Carrie- Glad you IUI went well.
