I have never been on this site before. I am a first time clomid user after 3 years unsuccessful trying for baby number three. I am on day 21 today and was wondering the same thing I ovulated on day 20 and was wondering when and if I could be excited. I have only had one person I kno use clomid and she only had 3 days of 25 clomid and fell pregnant that month so I assumed if I didnt fall there was something more wrong with me. Not that it is a good thing you guys are feeling like me but I felt so much better knowing I am not alone. Do you guys have other children?

Ann - March 22nd, 2006 11:43 AM

Hi Nicole. Welcome to the thread. How lucky you are to already have 2 children! I am ttc for #1 and have never been pg before. I did clomid for 5 or 6 months without sucess, so don't get too worried yet if you have only tried it once. Good luck!

Tracy - March 22nd, 2006 7:13 PM

Hey Nicole, welcome! I did three months of clomid and did not work for me either, but it does work for a lot of women. I thought I'd save up my other three tries with it for when I see my new doctor in case he wants to combine it with something else. DH is talking about going straight for IVF though. My sister got PG on her second cycle of clomid, so I just assumed it would work for me. There is so far nothing wrong with me and I have had a number of tests. We shall see though. Ann, where are you in your cycle, about 5 or 6 dpo? How are you feeling?

Ann - March 22nd, 2006 7:35 PM

I am only 4dpo...taking forever...I started taking progesterone today and I have one last shot to take tonight. The end of the 2ww seems like an eternity. Do you feel anything?

Tracy - March 23rd, 2006 7:12 PM

Yeah, I feel like if I have to have scheduled sex one more time I'm gonna puke. I love my husband, but I am dying for some regular old sex, you know, the kind that you crave. I feel like I'm ovulating too. I have felt that way for days now though. I'm just going to chalk this month up as a joke; a total waste of time. DH wants to do the dance tonight to be safe, but I really want nothing to do with it. HELP!!!!!!

Ann - March 23rd, 2006 7:22 PM

I know exactly how you feel. I love my dh, too, and am still very attracted to him, but there have been times...try to hang in there. If you got your positive opk on Sunday, you should be all done this cycle, though. Hopefully you have the egg with sperm inside sailing down your tubes as we speak!

Tracy - March 24th, 2006 6:44 PM

It's so nice to know other women have gone through the same things. I feel like this TWW is just going to drag on and on. Hey, I lost almost 5 pounds since last Thursday when I started working out with my trainer! I have been eating soooo well, and exercising, and it is starting to pay off. Thank God for this trainer!!!!

Ann - March 24th, 2006 7:02 PM

Wow, 5lbs. That is a lot! You only have 7 to go!! Yeah, there is really no way anyone can understand what we go through unless they have done/are doing it. I cringe every time I think of a coworker of mine asking another coworker of mine that was having ttc problems w/his wife how it was going and if she was pg yet. I never thought about how invasive that was at the time. I thought it was a little too personal, but I sure do get it now!

Tracy - March 25th, 2006 8:56 AM

I would like to lose about 10 more pounds. The more I look at my fat content, the more I realize how much it actually weighs. We are going to start more of the weight training now, so I may actually just balance out between muscle and fat, and not be able to go by weight. He measured my fat content before we started, so we have to go by that and take a measure each month. Today is 7dpo for you right? Only 7 more to go!!!!! I need to go for a walk now, so I'd better go before it never happens!

Ann - March 25th, 2006 3:38 PM

Yep, 7dpo. Normally, I would test at about 10dpo. Tuesday doesn't sound as far away as next weekend!! I don't think the weight number means much. Just pay attention to how you feel and how your clothes fit. It always feels good to put on that favorite pair of jeans and have them not be tight at all! How many dpo are you now?

Tracy - March 25th, 2006 7:11 PM

IF I ovulated when I think I did, I am only 5dpo. I put on a pair of pants that have gotten a little too small on me recently, and they still don't fit. I know the scale is not lying, and I see the difference in my legs, face and arms, but I have yet to see significant progress in my mid-section. It will come off there too, that's just gonna take time. I'm keeping hopes up to hear about your BFP!!!! Keep me posted on how you are feeling....

Ann - March 25th, 2006 11:58 PM

I have sore boobs now and I keep trying to ignore it, because I know it is just from the meds. I don't think next weekend will ever get here. Are you doing anything this weekend? I am just hanging at home and trying to catch up on some work. Two of my dh's brothers are here visiting, so they are out and I am home w/my stepson. I didn't want to go out with them, because I don't want it to be noticed that I am not drinking. I also had acupuncture today and I have a French lesson tomorrow. Lazy weekend!

Tracy - March 26th, 2006 9:20 AM

When I was on clomid, my boobs always got really sore post ovulation, so I can relate. My boobs never get sore, so the first month I thought for sure I had gotten PG. Hang in there. Keep yourself busy, and the time will pass quicker than you think. I think it's awesome that you are taking French lessons. I took four years of it in school instead of Spanish because I thought it was such a beautiful language and both my sister and I loved the culture. Spanish would have come in more handy though since I lived in the heart of Miami for many years, but I don't regret it. I have since forgotten what I learned, but hope to brush up on it before getting to visit France one day. Today I may see my mom, I'm not sure. She is at her condo here this weekend, but apparently has been busy dating this weekend!!!! We had plans for dinner last night, and she brushed me off (which she never does) but would not say why. It's really funny. We have been trying to find her a man for years and now, she is doing it on her own. She deserves some happiness. Hope you enjoy your acupuncture. Talk to you soon.

Ann - March 26th, 2006 10:14 AM

I hope your mom finds someone. My parents were married for 28 years and got divorced. From the time they divorced until my mom died, was about 16 years and my mom never dated or met anyone. She would act like she didn't care, but I know she was lonely. I never took French in school unfortunately. I started trying to learn after visiting one of the French islands in the Caribbean about 8 years ago. I can get around ok, but I don't speak very well. I have a very difficult time understanding when someone is speaking at a normal pace. Now I take private lessons. I take my stepson, too, because I want him to learn while his is young and hopefully he will have an easier time. We plan to go back to France in May 2007 unless I am at a stage of pg or have a little baby by then. I know what you mean about Spanish being more practical. I live in Dallas and there is a big Hispanic population here. I definitely want to stick with French, though!! I hope our 2wws pass quickly. I will be out of town Monday and Tuesday for college campus interviews, so that should help the start of my week to go quickly! Do you have your normal work week this week?

Tracy - March 26th, 2006 10:47 PM

I am having a normal work week for me. I work about four days a week, anywhere from 5 to 8 hours each shift. I work at Pottery Barn Kids now and love it. It is so easy and very stress free and I love seeing all the babies and baby stuff. It's actually been very helpful insofar as boosting me out of depression. It seems to give me hope to hear some of the stories women tell me about what they went through to have the child they are pushing around in a stroller, or carrying in their belly. Not to mention the discount I get on all that cute merchandise. Frivolous, I know, but it's fun. Dallas huh??? That's cool, I went there once a very long time ago. Have you always lived there or are you a transplant??? I have always lived in Florida and am sooooo ready for a change. We think we may move to Boston; however, in the car a little while ago DH started talking about how cool it might be to live in London. London sounds cool, but I think I'd like to stay closer to our families, especially since we will have kids (somehow). Gonna go fold the laundry. Check in tomorrow. Feeling OK?????

Ann - March 26th, 2006 11:11 PM

I feel ok. I am stressing about all the work I have to do this week, but that is pretty normal. I moved to Dallas right out of college, so I am a transplant. It seems like there are a lot of transplants here. I guess because the job market is good here. I absolutely loved Boston the one time I visited there. It is a really cool city. Have you been there often? London would definitely be cool, but you are right about how being near family would be helpful with kids. I am really glad you like your new job!
