Hey Ann. No day 21 bloodwork back yet. I worked all day and could only call while on lunch, which was at the same time the doctor's office is closed. I will see him tomorrow. I cancelled my appointment with the other doctor because he is not an RE either, and I have decided to strictly see an RE. He is an OB who specializes in infertility. My trainer doesn't want me to mess with my hormones unless I am with an endocrinologist, so he has someone he is recommending. Had some mild cramps yesterday, definitely AF type, and stronger cramps today off and on. Nipples are a little tender; boobs sore in certain areas.....this is a strange month indeed. I have never had sore boobs this long. They usually stop hurting about four days before AF arrives and cramps don't usually occur while the boobs are still sore. I tested on 11dpo and BFN. I know I said I wouldn't but I caved. Of course I have been down and expecting AF ever since. Tomorrow is cd29 and 14dpo. How are you by the way???? |

Oh, and this was my third cycle on clomid. Had my HSG done about three weeks ago. |

I didn't know that other dr you were going to see wasn't a RE. I agree that you should only see a RE. One thing I think my ob/gyn did wrong is that she didn't give me the clomid challenge test. Since my fsh is so high, it makes me wonder if it would have shown when she did my initial blood work (assuming it was a false normal reading). Oh well--nothing to do about that now...I am doing ok. I am waiting for af now. I stopped the BCPs on Saturday. I don't know how long I should wait to know if it is not going to start. I was only on the BCPs for 2 weeks, so I am not sure that I will have an af but the dr's office says I will. I've also had the stomach flu for 2 days. It has been fun aside from feeling like crap! I can't remember the last time I just bummed around the house for a couple days. I can't believe you tested! You are always so good. 11dpo is a little borderline. When are you going to test again if af doesn't arrive? Your symptoms sound very promising. |

So did AF ever arrive? I got mine March 11th. Talked to my doctor and my day 21 progesterone level was a 53!!! He thought I was pg and did a test, which of course came out negative. He said he wanted to try one more month of clomid since I was responding so well, and I was going to start it again yesterday as a last ditch effort with him, but I got a horrific sinus infection. I have to take some mammoth antibiotics and am taking migraine meds for the pain since I can't take steroids, so this month is now a break cycle before I see my next doctor April 12th. DH wasn't very happy when I told him I needed a break, but he understands. I get horrible migraines due to allergies down here in Florida, he has had to take me to the ER several times. I can't take any of my allergy meds while TTC either, so I am screwed. I'd like to move up north, but that won't be happening any time soon. Where do you live? Hope all is well. |

Hi Tracy. What are they looking for in the progesterone tests? I've never had one. Af did arrive and it was just like a normal one. I was surprised. I started with the injections on Saturday. It was VERY traumatic. I did the Lupron Saturday morning and it took me about 30 minutes before I could stick the needle in my stomach. Saturday night I had to do 3 shots--another Lupron, Follistim, and Menopur. The Lupron and Follistim didn't physically hurt, but OUCH on the Menopur. I was shaking and crying after I was done. It is getting better and I only had to do the Menopur for 2 days (whew). I had my first follie check yesterday, but they were all too small to tell which one(s) will make it. I have another check tomorrow. I have allergies, too, but nothing like you do. My acupuncturist is treating me for the allergies and of course infertility. I hope I don't have to take any meds this year. Yours sound MUCH worse than mine. I live in Dallas, so allergies are bad in the spring and fall. I hope you get some relief soon! Are you feeling back to normal yet? I've heard Phoenix and the desert areas are good for allergies, too. |

On a medicated cycle, the doctor looks for a day21 progesterone level of at least a 15. That number shows whether you had good healthy follicles that month. A 53 meant that I had great, strong eggs but apparently none were fertilized. My dentist said his wife did clomid and it didn't work for her but got PG on the injectibles, so keep the faith that all your trauma will be worth it. Sounds scary doing the shots though. I have no idea what my new doc will have in store for me. Perhaps I will be joining you with all that. Do you think the acupunture helps with your allergies or is it too soon to tell? How long have you been getting acupuncture? I had the best massage this past weekend, and I know this sounds crazy, but my period really seemed to flow after he was done. I just got back from the movies with my mother in law. We saw that movie "Failure to Launch" and laughed so hard. You should see it. It felt good to laugh. I have been feeling more like myself lately. Unfortunately my headaches from the allergies are returning and I don't know what to do except take migraine medication, which I don't want to do. Whatever, I'll just have to make due. It was good to hear from you. Keep me posted. |

I've heard that acupuncture is really good for headaches. I can't really tell yet on the allergies. The season is just now kicking in. I hope it helps. I've been going for a month now. That isn't crazy at all about the massage and your af. My acupuncturist doesn't do near as many needles duing af because he said it makes you bleed too much. Wow, your progesterone was really great then! You must've had more than one egg. I had an u/s this morning. I have a 17.5mm, a 14mm, and two 12mm follies. I don't think the 12s will make it, but there is the possibility. So I should have 2 or maybe 4 tries this month. I really hope it works. These shots are about to push me over the edge! I think my iui should be Friday or Saturday, but I am hoping for Saturday due to work. |

Good luck with your IUI. Patience pays my friend. The shots will be over soon I hope. Those follicle sizes sound great....I am so excited for you. I have a good feeling about this!!!! My thoughts are with you!! I am only on cd5, but feel good. I have to say, I did not realize how much I hated taking clomid. It made me very edgy. That edge is gone. I see my personal trainer for the first time in the morning. I'm kind-of scared. I am so weak and out of shape. I'm looking forward to it, I just hope he doesn't kick my ass too hard. I'll write to tell you how sore I am on Friday. Let me know when your IUI ends up being. Good luck girl!!! |

Thanks for the good luck wishes and good luck with your trainer! Just don't get discouraged at first. I know what you mean about being weak and out of shape. Once you have been doing it for a while, I think you will feel really good! With me, I talked to the nurse yesterday. My estradiol is at 549--going up just as it should. They are making me come in again this morning at 10:30 to see what is going on. It is going to be very tough to leave from work today. So, I will let you know when my iui is in a few hours!! I think they should be able to tell me today. How is your work going? Have you started at the new store? |

Hey there! Met with the trainer this morning and I am still alive. He is kicking my ass on the calories burned thing. I had a hard time getting through some of the stuff, but I did it!!!! Now to keep it up.... Anyway, I'm glad to hear your Estradiol has gone up...like I said, I have a really good feeling about this and I don't get good feelings very often. Yes, I started a pottery barn kids. We opened almost a week ago. I busted my butt for them through Sunday only to learn that I accidentally wasn't put on the schedule. They said to just call and they would give me hours, but with my migraine on Monday, I was too ill to call, so I've just been kicking back and trying to get rid of this sinus infection. Plus, I just needed a break. I started my period Saturday and got so tired and burnt out that I have just been resting like a princess. If you'd like to see pics of me and my family go to this link: http://www.slakr.net/wedding/ that way you can finally put a face to the name. Keep me posted on the IUI please!!!! I'm soooooo hoping you get your BFP! |

Tracy, that is SO ironic that you said you have a feeling about this one. I always ask my dh "do you think it will work this time?" or "do you think I am pg?" He just told me yesterday not to ask him any of those questions this time. I said, "Who am I supposed to ask?" because no one in our real lives know we are even trying. He said, "Ask people on your forum." I said no one would get a feeling about me because they aren't around me in real life. Then you say you have a feeling!! It makes me feel good, even if it doesn't work out. I am getting excited, though. I got to the point with clomid/iui where I just assumed it wouldn't work. I hope I am not setting myself up for a bigger let down. Also at the dr yesterday they said my lining was already up to a 9 (they want it to 8 by the time you O). It seems like everything is going really well, which excites me but makes me look for the other shoe to drop at the same time. Basically, I will be neurotic for the next two weeks.:) I am glad you liked the training session! Are you trying to lose weight or just get in better shape? That is good you are taking a clomid break. It seems to really throw you for a loop. I've heard some people that react bad to clomid do fine with other stuff. Did you go to your appt with the RE on March 7th? I looked at your pics. It is really nice to put a face with a name. You look really beautiful! I guess you just want to tone up, because you sure don't need to lose weight! |

I just got back from the dr. I have 3 mature follies!!!!! I have a 21.5, 18, and 17! The follies grow like twice as fast with the meds. My lining is up to a 12--great for implantation. They took blood for estradiol, but I will only get a call if there is a problem. I do the trigger tonight and have the iui on Saturday! I am really excited!! |

Everything sounds like it's going according to plan for you. I am just as excited as you are. It's normal to be excited yet expect the worst. That is just your way of protecting yourself in case it doesn't work. If by chance it doesn't, you know it was just nature and chance because everything is as it should be otherwise. Keep the faith though because you have three mature follicles and that sounds sooooooo promising. I'm so happy for you! |

Oh, and I forgot to mention, that I see this trainer now mostly to lose my ten punds I gained while on clomid, but also to tone and strengthen because I am so out of shape. I was dying on the stairmaster today and dread having to go back and do it again tomorrow. I'm sick of getting sick and having migraines, so he is also going to guide me nutritionally. I want total health. Talk to you tomorrow! |

I meant pounds not punds! |

I bet you will feel great after you have gotten into the exercising groove! So, you go again today, too? This will be a tough week! I am glad you found a trainer that wants to help you with nutrition and all the other stuff instead of it being like a meeting to work out. I didn't know clomid had that side effect. Did it make you more hungry or did you just gain weight anyway? |
