.. In response to all the women who are worried about spotting when they're pregnant - I spotted when I was pregnant with my son, called my dr hysterical, and he said that usually miscarriage is accompanied by severe cramps. (my son is now a healthy 6 foot tall 13 year old). I did, however, have a miscarriage a few years ago, and the bleeding was not, could never be mistaken for a period - it was very severe.

Hi Girls, I'm on day 18 of my cycle and I experienced some light spotting today, pinkish brown in color. I have never had mid cycle spotting so i'm a bit concerned. Any ideas???

Hi. I've read some of your responses. It helped me a little, but I'm still confused myself. For me, I found blood on my underwear about 3 nights ago. I notice I bleed a little and I think I am ovulation. I read that it is suppose to last a couple of days. I am on birth control if that may help. But I need an answer. To all that wants to get pregnant, GOOD LUCK!

After a desperate search it was relieving to find others have the same problem! It started after a m/c in '98. I went to the doc and prescribed progesterone. It really worked and can now concentrate on having a baby again! So give it a shot!

I have been ttc for 6 mnths now. I had started spoting on cd29 and cd 30. I bleed lightly to medium on cd 31 and 32. Then i spotted again the cd33 and 34. Then now on cd 43 and 44 i am spotting again. Does anyone know if this is okay or what it could be? I have one son and nothing like this has ever happened

I am relieved to know that I am not the only woman with these same concerns. I have undergone many fertility tests lately and my doc has found nothing wrong. My husband and I have been trying for 13 months. I have had many of these similar experiences and I am beginig to think that i am causing some of these symtoms just from thinking about it so often. I just had an HSG procedure and my doctor seems to think I will be pregnant within the next couple of months. Until then i will think happy thoughts instead of worrying so much. Good luck to all!

I am glad to know many ladies have this mid-cycle bleeding that I have been having - I'm 33. I have been diagnosed with Polycystic Overy Syndrom 6 years ago. I got pregnant with pergonal shots - Successful. Then I got pregnant 2 yrs later on clomid - successful. 2 yrs later, I wasn't trying or anything (figured I couldn't get pregnant on my own) I had bleeding on day 12, I got pregnant that month - SURPRISE and successful. Since I quit nursing 6 mo's ago I have began spotting about 2 weeks into my cycle. This month it has lasted 6 days, which seems strange. I will see my OBgyn on the 27th. Good luck, I believe the mid-cycle bleeding won't hurt in getting pregnant, as it happened to me.

Why spotting occur during 8th weeks of pregnancy, is it alarming?

Carolyn - June 14th, 2005 7:29 AM

I'm 34 and we are trying to have one more child (we have 2 already). I NEVER get pregnant when we try to conceive. Maybe it's the stress of trying; I don't know. Anyhow, after about 3 consecutive days of sex, I notice the blood-tinged mucus. By then I'm too tired and just want a good night's rest ,so I said "forget it, not tonight dear". I haven't been on birth control in 2 years and nothing has happened, although I can't say we've really tried. My cervix is usually very tender during ovulation and I don't want to have sex then. I'm wondering if the bleeding could be caused by aggressive lovemaking?

Carolyn - June 14th, 2005 7:30 AM

Louis,

I spotting around 6 to 8 weeks with second child. I was fine, but you can still ask your Dr.

Sherylin - June 16th, 2005 4:28 AM

Hi there ladies. I just wanted to tell those of you who experience the blood tinged mucus around the time of ovulation, it is perfectly normal. Sometimes it happens and sometimes it doesn't. It is just one of those quirks of being a woman of child bearing age. What I have found in my research is that the blood tinged cervical mucus is a great indicator of ovulation. It is a very fertile time. I hope this helps. I wish you all healthy, beautiful babies. God bless.

Sherylin - June 16th, 2005 4:35 AM

I forgot to say that I have the same issue. I get the blood tinged cervical mucus about 4 times a year. It usually lasts about 3 to 4 days. It's not heavy enough for a pad, but sometimes it does stain my panties. It's probably a good idea to wear panty liners. It always happens when I least expect it. Sorry, if I got too graphic. I hope that you all can find comfort in knowing that you are not alone. Take care and God bless.
