Lynn, thanks for the thoughts, I will ask what is next. I dont really want to do anymore rounds of Clomid if its not in conjunction w/ something else like an IUI. Just seems like if I were going to get pregnant just on Clomid it would have happened by now. Im not afraid to move on to anything, Im excited. What ever it ends up taking, I will do. Tracy, glad to see your post and that you are feeling better. I understand 1st reactions after finding out stuff like that. I would freak out too. I remember sort of feeling that way after a endo dr. told me I had PCOS. I felt lost and really overwhelmed. You may be on to something since the blood work you had done was during your teaching, and you were obviously struggling w/ lots of health issues. Makes sense, and hopefully this recent blood work will clear up any thoughts of you having this. A steriod nebulizer is a serious deal, and mixed w/ everything else you were taking, I bet it can cause some shift in your blood and your whole body. Hang in there, and keep us posted. I didnt think anyone was close to my AF schedule. Your HSG will be great, and although I didnt, many get pregnant in the months following the procedure. It feels good to be able to rule out one more thing, and get roto rootered in the tubes! Thats it for me tonight, I am sleepy! Talk tomorrow.. |

Tracy - Here is a site that you can visit about ITP. http://www.itppeople.com/FAQAdults.htm (if any - appear, take them out). My adoptive daughter has something similar to ITP (HS purpura), the doctor told me that it was a good thing that she was old enough to talk because alot of parents who have kids with HSP get accused of child abuse because of all the brusing. Hope the site helps. CC - I am due for AF on the 8th, so I am right there with you also. It is a good idea to write all your questions down, I always go in thinking that I have my questions covered in my head and then the Dr. says something to throw me off and I end up losing track of what I wanted to ask. Not much going on with me, still just doing the finger tapping thing and having less than no hope for success this cycle. Once AF shows and I go into see the RE, I am going to ask for glucophage ( I am on nothing for the PCOS) and then take a two month break and lose some weight (get back to the gym) and also get my butt a j.o.b.!! Then after the two months, come back with a vengence for 6 months, then give up on ttc for good if no BFP by then. I just thought that I would share my plan for the future with you all. Take care everybody!! Sending out lots of baby dust and glue to all of you!! Only a week or so to go til testing!!! |

Good morning..Just bumping us up, we are down at the bottom half of the page. Lori, I am also asking for Met/glucophage when I see the RE (who I have to call today since no one ever called me back). Its great that we are asking for it, and that we are pro-active about the PCOS. It seems from what I have read it takes awhile for the meds to do their job, so taking a break might not be a bad idea during that time. One of the questions I will ask is about that..If I just start taking the meds, I would want to wait a few months before doing IUI or other meds so it can take affect. d, dont dread tomorrow..Look forward to it for answers, you never know, you may have nothing to dread at all. Think positive! |

Hey ladies. I hope that all is well this morning. I don't have any symptoms to report today. Yesterday must have been a fluke. D- I am testing on Friday morning. AF isn't due until Monday, but I know that I will never make it without taking at least 1 test. Happens every month. Sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. Lulu-I don't know much about progesterone. As I have said before, DH and I are just starting to seek any type of medical help. Hope everyone else is doing well! Check back soon! |

Has anyone taken progesterone suppositories??? I started monday night and have had a headache ever since and last night I had some cramping. Today I just feel bloated and headache still? Is this normal? Lynn- I honestly do not know what kind of hcg shot I had-I think it was ovidrel? I am not feeling anything as of yet and am calling sunday 1dpo so today is only 4dpo so I have at least 10 days of psychoanalysis to put up with!! Yuck! D, let us know what Dr says. Tracy hang in there, I would agree with CC that being so sick and taking so many meds could completely throw off your blood work. Lori, I am hoping you get a bfp this month, I understand how you feel. Focusing on your health and getting into shape is always a great idea. Hang in there ladies. bellyrubs. |

I finally have a RE appointment, and its for this Friday! Whoo hoo!! I am glad I didnt have to wait forever, but the freak in me wondered "Why can I get in so fast?! Is she a bad Dr and thats why she has an opening so fast?!"..Time will tell all that info. Feeling a little flustered, they want my medical records from my OB. I thought they might, but I was stupid enough to think maybe my OB would forward them when they referred me out. NO!! It is going to take them 2 wks to fax me the records I need (dh's 2 SA results, my HSG result, and all the Clomid and follicle scans)..So I wont have them before my 1st appointment (although I begged, so we will see if it does any good)...Im excited, we have a couple of people testing this week!! |

CC...can you go by and beg in person to pick them up? Did you not say you O on your own? My understanding is most of the time glucophage is given when PCOS people do not O on their own. I did not and have taken glucophage since Oct. 6, 2005. I have Oed on my own every month except this month due to them taking control of my cycle. It is worth the shot to ask....Lori, I have some of the same life plans. I am planning on trying until June 2006 and then totally think about if this is ever going to happen for us. d, no need to dread...it will give you some answers and hopefully the ones you are wanting. Tracy...I also bruise alot and just chalk it up to bumping something and not knowing. If I get out of bed and bump the rail, I will get a bruise. I am usually a pretty healthy person and only get sick once during the Spring. I wonder if I am also suffereing from something...oh no, yet something else to think about. jcr....like I said before, I have only taken oral progestrone pills called prometrium. I do believe it can give you headaches but not sure. EMM....keep us posted about Friday. Do you usually test in the AM? lulu....any news yet? Well, girls...need to run to the office, I only stopped home for a second and thought I would check to see what y'all were doing. |

D......here is a lesson for you..... yesterday after talking to my OB about my low platelets, I was sad and angry and apparently lost my cool, BUT I went to my regular MD today who took blood on Friday and found out great news. First, my cholesterol went down 53 points (yeah!) and second, my platelets are back in normal range. What a relief!!!!! and I was dreading all the awful news I thought the doctor was going to tell me today. You just never know. Now if I could only practice what I preach! Lori, they are going to continue to keep an eye on my platelets but the count went from 112 to 176! I will visit that site when I am done posting here though; knowledge is power! I know what you mean about the abuse thing, several years back I was seeing a therapist and she saw bruises all over my legs and was skeptical when I told her I was not being abused. An old boss of mine was the same way. He didn't believe me. JCR, I am going to say that the progesterone suppositories are definitely directly related to your headache. Yesterday I told my OB that I get a migraine after ovulation while on the clomid, and he said it's because of the dramatic increase of progesterone at that time. Makes sense to me. CC--I am sooooooo gald you got your appointment so fast. I hate when you have to wait forever just to get in to talk with someone. Super-duper man! Lynn asked the same question I was going to, can you pick the records up??? D--you know what? It is understandable to be so nervous about the doctor, so much seems to be at stake here. A baby is a life altering thing. But just know that they can't help you achieve your goal without figuring out what they need to do. Let's try to look at this as, "there is nothing wrong with me, but I need the doctor to coach me on how to make the situation better." You are not broken, you just need to be worked with a little. Emm, test away baby!!! Lulu-how are you? If I forgot anyone forgive me, there was so much to say. |

Tracy, I am soo happy for you!! I am glad they found nothing..Being so sick while teaching sounds like it really did a number on your body. I bet you feel tons of relief and pressure lifted from your shoulders! Thats the best news! Thanks for the thoughts on picking up the med recs, I did ask, they said I could pick them up, but they cant get them done soon. Thats why I opted for the fax, so I dont have to drive all the way down there. Lynn, I do o my own, but your post was interesting. I added that to my list of RE questions, about the PCOS meds. I have a different understanding of the meds completely. I was given glucophage by a endocrynologist when I wasnt ttc at all. My understanding was it was given to regulate the hormones out of whack from the PCOS. The only thing he told me was if I didnt want to get pregnant to be sure to use protection as its often given to woman to help achieve pregnancy in PCOS woman. I hadnt heard about glucophage w/ ovulation, but what you said sort of makes sense. d, take the lesson from Tracy and soak it in! You may be worried all for nothing. I have never used a home test kit for dh, but havent heard good things about them. I think there really are too many variables w/ the sperm to test it accurately at home. I think if you really want a true reading, you should have it done in a lab by professionals. Just my opinion. |

Hey everyone. It is hard to catch up even if you have just been away for a play day! So much going on. I do have a q for jcr. You have a child, right? Did you have a vaginal or a C-section. My son had the cord wrapped around his neck, so I had an emergency cesarean. Do you, or anyone else, know if scar tissue can be a factor in infertility? The past 3 days of cramps have been kind of located near my scar, and I am just wondering if the scar tissue plays an part in any of this. Lulu-I am going to test on Friday too because there is no way that I will make it through the weekend without testing at least once. I test in the morning. Is that when you will be testing? Tracy-that is fantastic news about your lab results! Oh, and let us know how the appointment goes CC. It looks like our thread will be super busy on Friday! |

Thank you CC for all the well wishes! I am about 7 or 8 dpo and have had some menstrual type cramps today. I'm hoping that's a good sign, but swore I wasn't going to analyze these things since I'm on the clomid. The boobs are on fire!!! They hurt everywhere!!!! They didn't hurt this bad last month, but could be that they were just warming up then! Had some lower back pain today too. Praying for a miracle here. |

no news yet to report ladies. AF is due tomorrow so this wait is absolutely killing me. I will test Friday morning with fresh tinkles. i've been having slight dizzy spells and i didnt have PMS this month. makes ya wonder. But going thru all of this, we seem to analyze every single pain, ping and pong that happens in our bodies. Good thing women have the babies. Men couldnt handle this! |
