Waiting to start CLOMID this month ... wanna join??

Question: Hi everyone... I am starting clomid this month and i am very excited!!! If there is anyone that wants to join me and we can share our experiences thogether!! I am curently taking provera to induce my period. I will finish the provera on aug, 13th. and I am hoping to start cd 1 on the 15th of aug. I am taking clomid cd 5-9. Answer: Hey everyone, I just started Clomid on the 8th. I am on 100mg on day 3-5. Also taking Metformin 1500mg every day. I have been on Met. since Feb. but have only O'd maybe once. My RE did not induce my period to start Clomid because I had a Lap & Hysterscope on 7/27. Both tubes were blocked with mucous plugs and they are now open! We are sooo excited. I thought for 2 1/2 months after HSG 5/12 that my tubes may be scarred and I would never have children.It is truly a miracle. I just pray that I will Ovulate on Clomid. I am on day 2 and so far all I have is alittle Nausea. Good luck to all..

Answer: Hey ladies...I'd like to join too. I'm on Day 4 of my cyle and second day of taking Clomid for the first time---just some headaches as side effects. We've been ttc for 10 months--DH has low sperm count and I think that I might have PCOS but it has not been confirmed yet-had a u/s done on Day 1 of my cycle, by a doctor in the same practice as my ob/gyn and he saw multiple little cysts but didn't diagnose me with it---but I seem to have some of the symptoms from what I've read on the internet. Answer: Well, just back from my gyno visit. They didn't do an ultrasound, so I don't know how my pcos is doing, but doc is having me continue taking avandia for it. I start clomid tomorrow cd 3-7 this month. I've already scheduled my IUI for next Thursday, so I have something to look forward to. The nurse told me last month two women had IUI for the first time and both got pg, so I have some hope for me this month! Baby dust to you guys!!! Answer: IUI - I think it stands for intro-uterin insemination. My dh will provide some sperm to the doc. The sperm will be washed of all mucus and other stuff, and he will inject it (through my uterus) right into my tubes. Its good for clomid sometimes, when people like me find that they are lacking in ewcm when the fertile time comes around. Cost about $200 -$300.

Answer: I too am starting clomid this month. I have been ttc for 13 months now. I guess you are just a bit ahead of me in your cycle but we should be starting clomid on the same day if my math is correct. Today I have some spotting, so I guess it's day 1. I will be taking clomid on day 4-8. That means Friday is my first day on clomid. Waiting to get the script filled. I am also scheduling an HSG for later this month to make sure mechanically that everything is fine. Would love to hear more from you. Good luck!!!!

Today is my 3rd day to take it and the headaches are getting lighter, but still there--can't wait until Friday comes and I won't have to take it. Answer: Ladies, thanks to everyone for sharing their stories. It will give me hope if at least one of us conceives this month. It is very discouraging sometimes, but you need to stay upbeat and know that it will happen. My sister had been ttc for over 1y. (like me) went on Clomid for 3 c. and is now due in Jan. It was initially depressing to see both of my sisters pregnant at the same time--both due in Jan. I really would like to join them. I'm wondering if any of you have been sharing your infertility experience with friends and relatives?? I have only told my sister (with similar issues) and a friend. I wonder if it's normal to want to keep this under wraps or if I'm unhealthy. This forum is helpful to me. Good luck to everyone. I had a headache yesterday late afternoon/night and was really tired, BUT I get headaches on occasion anyway and I'm always really tired, so who knows if had anything to do with the Clomid??

I also had a headache the first night after taking the clomid. Nothing much last night, just kind of emotional and sad feeling. So far so good today, though! Answer: Well, my period isn't over yet. It started on Monday 8/15, it's just lighter than normal that's all.. It looks like it could be on it's way out maybe, but it's still there for now. Normally, my 2nd day which would have been on Tuesday is usually the heaviest, but it just wasn't as much as it normally was. But, I was just glad to have one since my last one was on June 11th! I'll take what I can get.... I don't know if I have PCOS or not. Dr. said my symptoms are consistent with it, but he didn't officially say one way or the other. I don't have excess hair, not obese, etc (these are alot of the symptoms I saw online), but I guess you don't have to have those things to have it. I have not had any ultrasounds or anything done yet. We are trying the Clomid first for 3 months, they going to plan B....

I started spotting last wednesday, then finally got af on Sunday, then medium to light flow through Monday, then only spotting again by Tuesday. Nothing yesterday, then I spotted again today. Guess I'll just see what happens! Julie, it doesn't sound like you have pcos, and hopefully you don't. For me I had no symptoms either, not overweight, blood pressure is normal to low, no facial hair, heck I even had a period every month. The doc said that not all of my ovaries are covered, but most of it is. That's why I still got my period, and probably even was ovulating a few times a year. Does anyone know if you have to ovulate in order to have a period, or could your body just fool you into thinking you ovulated and then get your period??

Answer: Oh, Julie, I don't want to worry you that you might have what I have! If you don't have any of the usual symptoms, you are not a likely candidate for it. Dh and I are into extreme outdoor sports like rock climbing, so that may be why I'm not overweight. I also have a great acne wash, so I never break out. There are many reasons I don't have any of the obvious symptoms. My cists don't hurt at all. They are really small. I'm suprised they didn't give you an ultrasound before they prescribed clomid. My doc did a pee test, blood test, u/s, and scheduled me for an hsg before starting me on clomid. Did your doc do any of that??

Answer: I have a question.....I started spotting on Aug 13th and 14th and started having good flow from the 15th till date. I called the doctors office to find out when i must start clomid.......Is it the first day of my period or the first day i have normal bleeding. ..Unfortunately i did not get correct answer from the doctors office as doc was out of office and the nurse was not very sure and told me to take it from the day i spotted. Do u think what she said is right......bcoz i read somewhere that it must be taken from the first day of normal bleeding. Answer: Hey, I had very bad nausea every day on Clomid and hot flashes, no headaches. But, it was worth it. I went to my RE today and he did an U/S and I have 2 eggs on the right that are 18mm they want them at 20mm so I am wating until in the am and he wants me to take Pregnal 10,000u and I should O on Sat. 20th. I am so excited that Clomid worked the 1st time, but I am trying not to get my hopes up too much......Hope everybody is does this good on Clomid!!

Answer: Kelly- My dr. said we could either start with the Clomid or have tests done first. He said it was my choice where I wanted to start, but since I hadn't gotten my period and my cycles were so irregular he thought we could try to at least get me ovulating normally and go that route first. If this doesn't work after 3 months, we will go forward with some tests to see what's going on.. But it made sense to me to try to get back to normal first and then go from there. I will be going to a new dr. end of Sept. due to change of insurance, so I am curious to see if she thinks differently...

Answer: Ragini, I have the same question that you do and am in the same situation. My doctor is on vacation but I have a call in to the nurse. My directions from the doc are to begin clomid on day 4 and end on day 8; however, I'm not sure if spotting counts as day 1 of my cycle or not. I did not take any meds to induce a period. The way I initially understood it was that day 1 is the first day of red or spotting -- doesn't matter, but now I'm starting to second guess myself. I would keep taking the clomid. If I hear an answer back from the dr. I will post it for you. I would expect an answer by tomorrow morning. Hang in there!

Answer: Hey Julie....interesting your doctor didn't do HSG or u/s first before beginning Clomid---If, and only if, your tubes are blocked taking the Clomid wouldn't be getting anywhere--and you can only take Clomid for a few months(like 3-6) Is he planning on doing any u/s or bloodwork to determine if O is happening? If you have insurance HSG would be good to do so that you KNOW your tubes are cleared and they say that your chances, up to 3 months post HSG, are higher for pregnancy...just a thought. Well today I've finished my last pill and will go in for u/s on Tuesday to assess follicle size. Also, I may have PCOS too, so I'll get an opinion at my u/s next week....I'm kinda bummed b/c I feel I have some of the symptoms that I've read about on the internet. Edy sounds like Clomid is working well for you this cycle. Baby Dust to everyone!

Answer: Kerri, Good Luck on your u/s next week! Your symptoms should get better and hopefully go away about 1-2 days after you finish your Clomid, mine did thank goodness! Julie, My OB/GYN wouldn't start Clomid until he did HSG and I am so glad that he did't because my tubes were blocked with mucous plugs and the HSG could't rremove them so I had to have a Lap. thats how I got into see my RE and now he has me on a monitored cycle which I think is best when you have PCOS because of the increased chance of having OHSS(Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome) good luck to you!

My dr. just told me to come back in after my 1st cycle ends, but how do I know if I really ovulated or that the meds are working? When did your dr. tell you to come back in? Answer: Hi Angel. I felt kind of sad this week too! I'm on my 4th day of clomid. I can say, for me anyway, it has been much better the second time around. Only one headache, and a little weapy. I did have some hot flashes the night before last, but nothing last night. Jen, my doc has me on a schedule where he will do an u/s to look for follicles, 4 days after I take my last clomid pill. I know some dr's don't do this, though. I've been diagnosed with pcos, and my hsg showed some signs of endo, so they are keeping a careful eye on me. Day 4 is so far so good! I took My HCG shot yesterday at 11AM and this morning my temp spiked .7 degrees. it was 98.0 for 1 week and this AM it was 98.7, My RE told us to bd tonight so I guess today is the day. Answer: Really don't know. I've read that 5 days or so after you take the last pill you could start doing the OPK's. I know I could get a false reading but I'm gonna just use those everyday starting in a day or two.. Probably start to bd every other day starting tomorrow or Wed. too just to be sure?????? Any ideas??? I don't really know what to do... I didn't have any major side effects from the Clomid. Answer: Ah! I'm just back from a couple days vacation. I'm getting all geared up for my u/s tomorrow (to look at my follicles and see if the clomid worked) then the IUI on Thursday! Answer: Hey everyone!! I'm back and feel pretty good after my u/s. The doc showed me 5 follicles on the u/s. The biggest ones are on my right side which explains why I feel almost bloated on that ovary today. They gave me the hcg shot - yowee! And sent me home with a cup for dh for tomorrow. They say the IUI will take about 2 hours of my time tomorrow. They will make me rest for about 45 minutes before the procedure, then the procedure won't take long, then I have to stay lying down for 1/2 hour longer. Amanda good luck with your u/s tomorrow!!! Answer: Last month I took 100 mg clomid for cd 5-9 and got 7 follicles. Unfortunately, I found out the clomid "dries me out" = no ewcm = no pg. That's why this month I will need to do IUI. I am also taking avandia, a diabetic drug for the pcos, and the doc put me on a prescription prenatal. I am also trying to eat more organic stuff and veggies, since that will help the pcos.

Answer: My HSG yesterday went fine. I expected the cramping during the procedure, went home and resumed life as usual. I woke up at 3:30 A.M. with stomach cramps and have not been able to sleep since. Every time that I stand up I get light headed and start to black out...No fever though. I've been taking Ibuprofen since yesterday but no relief. I'm really not usually a wimp when it comes to pain. Has anyone ever experienced these effects from HSG? Answer: To the PCOS lady, If you have not responded on the 50mg of clomid then ask your dr if you can take 100mg that should start something.And if that doesn't work ask him about alt ovul. drugs. If he doesn't have any answsers then you may want to look for a different DR. Answer: Hi Jen! Clomid didn't make my cycle any longer or shorter, but then I have a pretty regular cycle between 27 and 30 days. It did dry me up though. Had the doc not given me an hcg shot to make me ovulate within 36 hours, I would not have known that I was ovulating at all. That's why I tried the IUI this month. I don't think that the "drying" happens to everyone, though. I never even saw ewcm this month, so I'm kind of worried about that. Has anyone else experienced dryness with clomid??

Answer: Oh Kerri, sweetie, I'm so sorry about your pcos. I know exactly where you are right now, girl! I was right there last month. Aside from the clomid and hcg shot, I am taking Avandia, a diabetic drug that should get my insulin resistance under control. After ovulation, the doc also put me on a progesterone supplement (Prometrium), since pcos can cause low progesterone, which is what builds up your uterus lining for implantation. Lots of women get pg with pcos, so if we follow the doc's orders hopefully both of us will have a little one soon! Amanda, I am with you girl! Yes I am quite bloated today, and do have that wierd pms feeling. I also feel wierd sharp pains in my right side ovary or tube area. Sure hope that is a good sign for us. Miranda, I've not heard of estradiol. How much and how often are you taking it? Is it prescription, or can you get it over the counter? I've heard of preseed, but don't know much about it. I heard that it doesn't kill sperm, but do you know if it can take the place of ewcm as far as keeping the sperm alive for a couple days? Answer: Hie ladies, I have read your stories about Clomid. I just want to join you & share my story mainly for those of you who are taking it for the first time. I am 25 and started ttc two years ago. I was tested in March this year and found out that I was not ovulationg. I was given Clomid 50 mg to be taken on CD2-CD6. I conceived right after that 1st cycle. Unfortunately progestorone levels was still low. I was not given progestorone supplements & ended up in m/c 2 months ago. I still feel bad but knows that this is not the end of everything. I had my 2nd period after m/c on 16th August 05 so I took Clomid 100g fron 18th Aug to 22nd Aug. I am hoping for the best. Clomid works it worked for me after 2 years of ttc. My freind also conceived with one cycle of it unfortunately m/c, now has as 4 year old son who was conceived two months after the m/c. I would like to know how long are your cycles. Mine are btween CD33-CD35 but are regular. Lets hope for BFP's in September. Wishing you all the best so that CLOMID should do wonders to you the way it did to me and my friend.

Answer: hi kellyn. estradiol is a prescription. my dr put me on cloid 50 mg days 3-7 then days 8-12 i will be taking estradiol then im supposed to db days10-16 and prochieve days 17-...to hold a preg if there is one....my dr said there is a 100% success rate with this treatment so i hope he is right...he showed me a chart of diff. treatments and this one was the best.

Answer: Heather, I am frustrated with the OPK too. I have been testing for at least 1 wk. now without a definite result. Last night and tonight 2 lines appeared but the one line is a little lighter than the test line. I have been using OPKs for at least 5 months and have to my knowledge ovulated each month, but I have never gotten a positive OPK test that I could be sure of. I don't think that OPKs work well for me. I am on cd15. Still think I haven't ovulated.

Answer: I just got done taking provera. I was just diagnoised with pcos. which i don't understand why i would have it. I'm really not overweight, no cycts but i guess one of my hormone levels the lh hormone was way out of whack. anyways i took provera and it started 4 days after my last pill. i'm on metformin now to see what happens. if in 2 months nothing yet then i have to get on clomid and metformin. i've heard of some bad side effects that clomid does to you so i chose just one for now. let me know how it works out for you.

Answer: im keeping positive and i dont blame this on anyone. im glad that i know what the cause was behind us not getting pregnant, but when you put a name to it , it really takes a moment to grasp it all. i was diagnosed 3 days ago, and before that i had no idea what pcos even was ( had heard of it but not in such detail). im very positive about the whole thing, and lm not taking it out on my hubby. i just wanted to find out what other women with my condition feel like. Ive been very open on all my feelings with my man and its not that i dont want to or im not making love to him, its just kinda in the back of my mind right now. i hope no one thinks im trying to be negative to turn this on like whoa is me i have pcos.... agian, im just looking to see how other women in my situation have felt and what they feel like now. im blessed to have a condition that enables us to still conceive. i know many women cant have children at all. i appreciate your input amanda, maybe i should have explained what i meant better. ill keep you posted on the provera outcome. =)

I had already been participating on these ttc discussion boards for 4 months, and I knew a little about it, and mostly knew that it was very bad for fertility. For about a week its all I could think about, and sex reminded me of my condition. It does get better, though. Give it a few weeks. Once you start af and get back on track with the meds things will be looking up. I am on month number two of the meds, and my doc is very confident I will get pg. We are here for you girl!!!

This will be my 2nd cycle of Clomid. I take it on cd 5-9. I have not had a period on my own since going off the pill last August! The dr has not diagnosed me with pcos, but I do have some symptoms. I have not had any cysts, so she has just labeled it as adult-onset annovulation. I don't know if I ovulated on Clomid in July (I take it every other month b/c of Prometrium), so I am anxious to see if I will in Sept. This has been the lonliest feeling in the world. You don't know how relieved and how much hope you all have given me - just knowing I am not alone. The Clomid gave me awful side effects - headaches, mood swings, hot flashes. And severe depression on some days. I hope it is better this time around as I am a kindergarten teacher! I don't want it to affect my kids. It also made me VERY dry. Good luck to everyone! Answer: Hi Ladies....hope everyone is hanging in there--whether you're waiting to O or in the "ever-so-long" 2ww. I told my parents about us ttc and PCOS--it was accepted well--they said it took them 19 months to get pregnant with me and 2 years with my brother--so our 11 months of ttc didn't seem so long. My mother said that she has some signs of PCOS but was never diagnosed with it---the only testing they did was with my dad and his count was low so they just thought that he was the reason pregnancy wasn't happening. We went to an RE today--I'll begin Metformin next week and up my Clomid dosage to 100mg---praying for follicles on day 14 u/s so that we can try IUI---was very disappointed that we had to cancel IUI this cycle b/c I wasn't responding to Clomid 50mg--but very excited to start again--heard about some tough Metformin side effects, but it will be worth it to be a Mommy. I ate with the dose to ease the tummy aches and i think it worked cause i didnt feel too icky. i got a minor headache but it could have been because of music we were playing on the long car ride(gotta love the oldies station). to those of you who also started with provera what were your symtoms? i also have a question on BBT. i was doing BBT for several months until this last 4 mnths that i didnt get my period,and i know im going to definately start again when my period comes, but should i just start taking temp in the morning now while on the provera? I haven't had really bad effects from the metformine. just make sure you eat on a regular basis other wise you will get dizzy!!! You should be fine though. Answer: Miranda, the side effects are not great. I didn't really get them until my last days of Clomid. I didn't know what was wrong with me!! I had a constant headache, HOT FLASHES, and was very moody and depressed. But once I was finished, they all went away within two to three days - so if you experience any, just keep hope until those days come!!! :) And think of the baby it is going to help you make!!!!! Answer: Hi everyone! I stayed at home this weekend, but took the whole weekend off from thinking about ttc, so that was a nice breat. Yesterday I was feeling kind of crampy, but today, I just feel like af is coming. Also tender nips. This is a little too much like last month, so I'm not very hopeful for a bfp. My cm is kind of creamy now, but it usually gets that way before af. Well, I'm really impatient when it comes to testing. Dh went to the Dollar Tree Store today to get some of those 1$ hpts. So I started testing today (11 dpo). Of course it is too early, and it was bfn, but at least i know that the hcg shot is out of my system now, so if I do get a bfp it will be the real deal. Answer: hey everyone .. well i have sec to type before i have to get back to work .. but just some pointers that i got from my doctor... well my doctor tells me that there is a big difference in name brand clomid and generic... she said that name brand is better... and she kind of explained like it has better quality and more of something... my only problem is that the pharmacys dont carry it and they have to order it in ... and because i start clomid on friday (not saturday) which is tomorrow they will not have it in time... sooo. i have to take the generic... but i thought i would share this with everyone about the difference in generic and name brand on the clomid.. i think if i have to take it again after this month (WHICH I HOPE AND PRAY THAT I DONT :)) i will be going to the name brand... juile are you taking metformin too... that is the name of the diabetic drug that i have to start taking tomorrow too.... if your are not taking it i would ask my doctor about it ... my doctor has put me on it to help level out the hormones or something like that ..(im guessing the LH hormone) she said take it so im going to .. lol... also i just thought i would let everyone know also that my doctor told me that we shouldnt ovulate until 8 to 10days after taking our last clomid pill!!! hmmm i thought that was interesting... so im guessing that i probably missed out completely... also she said that what it seemed like was happening is im getting ready to ovulate .. but not releasing the egg... so hmmm it was alot to take in today.. but im doing alot of research .. i hope that some of this information helped some of u... good luck everyone .. talk to u guys tonight ... i should be online... baby dust to all ... ohh yeah .. im still crampy.. and bloated..

So, since I was going to take my blood test on Tues. Dh is out of town for a month, and I was thinking we wouldn't get to try this month, but he said he would ask today if he could come home at least for the IUI. Amanda, thanks for the info on clomid. I did the generic brand this time too, so now I'm wondering... My doc actually prescribed me with Serophene (the other clomiphene citrate brand name). He seems to like that one better. But when I went to the pharmacy to get it, the pharmacist told me the generic was exactly the same, but cheaper. I won't make that mistake again! Answer: Thanks for your support! They made me go in this morning for my progesterone test since I missed it. I will be taking 2000 mg of Metformin daily through the 1st trimester. That has changed over the years. They used to make you stop as soon as you got pregnant. For me, my worst side effects were from the Met. I've been on it since the end of May & I'm used to it by this point. So Amanda, you may have an upset stomach until you reach the max your doc wants you to take. Answer: Well I finally got real af flow today, and my temp dropped all the way down to normal pre-o levels. Dh will not be able to come home, so I officially have the month off. It will be kind of nice to not take the clomid this month and just see how things go naturally taking the avandia (kind of like metamorphin, but a different brand). Plus I have a big packpacking trip with my mom planned for the end of this month, so now I don't have to worry about being pg for that. Julie are you going to take a hpt, or just wait for the doc blood test? Amanda, did starting the clomid early in your cycle stop the flow of your af this time? That happened to me last time, and I'm wondering if it was the clomid, or if it was just a really short flow. Also did you manage to get a hold of the brand name clomid instead of generic?

Answer: Ok, well I finally heard from my Dr... the blood test showed that I didn't ovulate when I went in for my cd 21 blood test, which was really cd 23 due to Labor Day weekend. I did tell him my temps shot up on cd 24, he said it's possible I could have ovulated then. I told him my temps are still up. He originally told me if by cd 35 I didn't get my AF to take a HPT, if that was negative to then start prometrium and clomid again. Now he wants me to wait until cd 39 to do that just in case I did ovulate on the cd 24... If I do need to start the clomid again, he is going to up it to 100mg instead of 50mg..... I'll keep you posted..... I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Answer: I finally got the bloodwork results from the doctor--he said that my gluclose levels were fine and the tests were all within normal limits, but my testosterone and androgens were doubled what they should be which is consistent with PCO. I began taking Metformin tonight--will eventually work up to 2000mg. My prayer is that my body will respond well to it and hopefully not have any nasty side effects. The dr will check my progesterone level 7dpo---I think I ovulatued on cd 31. Answer: Af has been since sunday, but I started spotting last Thursday. Glad you didn't have any clomid side effects! That's awesome! My doc has me on avandia instead of metamorphin. Don't know why except it is his preference. Do you get side effects from metamorphin? I think the avandia is supposed to make me tired, because they have me take it at bedtime, but I can't tell if I have any side effects from it at all.

He's an archaeologist, so I'm used to him being 'out in the field' during the week, but miss him terribly on the weekends. I'm not planning to take clomid this month, but I did ask my doctor about it. He said because I have regular af before I started the meds, that it would not hurt me to not take clomid. Answer: This is going to drive me crazy... I am on 50mg Clomid and wondering if that is why I feel so anxious and obsessed. We got pregnant on our own in 11/04 and miscarried. Since, we have been ttc with no luck and I feel so frustrated that I am going to scream my head off! I think the Clomid might dry me out, but I had some stringy mucus on day 11 (took on 5-9), so that is weird. Now, I am on day 13 and OPK is negative and I am not finding any stringy CM. WIthout Clomid, I used to O on day 14, but with Clomid, I can't use my ovulation monitor, so I am not sure when I O. Also, my temp went up today .5, but I don't trust that since I got up to go the bathroom and it is only day 13, so there is no way that I already ovulated. I am wondering if we should use pre-seed? I am not sure if I can take another month of this.... :-(

Answer: There is hope for you Ladies who have late ovulation with Clomid----don't give up BD'ing if you didn't ovulate within the "normal" time after your last pill. I took 50 mg of Clomid and didn't O until cd31....todays is cd46 and I have my first BFP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so excited....I took 2 tests just to be sure! Answer: Blood test came back +..so that's good. I did use OPK and temps to know when I O. I didn't O until cd 31---we bd cd 28, cd30, cd31, and at lunch on cd32. Dh drank caffine before most bd b/c he was told he had low sperm count and caffine is supposed to help them get to the egg faster--I also read on a post somewhere that pineapple helps implantion so yep, I ate pineapple 7-12dpo....don't know if there is any truth behind it but I was willing to try anything. Did lots and lots of praying! I began taking Mefformin for PCOS the day after I O'd. Soon after I O'd, I felt small bloating only on the right side for about 5 days, then a tight pulling sensation on my lower left side---was very thirsty and in a great mood, and nothing sounded good to eat. That's unusal for me...I usually had PMS 5 days before AF and I like food! At 12dpo my temp went up higher than any previous month, but it wasn't really triphasic...I was pretty sure then that I was pregnant but wanted to wait until 15dpo before testing. Now my breasts are sore thru the day and I only feel bloated after 5....oh yeah, and lots of gas too! I hope this helps and I know everyone's time will come soon! My doctor said to bd everyother day starting at cd 10. So we have been doing that. I had a mc in July and I am so anxious to get a BFP. I have a lot of cramping today which I have never had before. I normally have 2 periods a year and I am taking clomid because the doctor says that I don't ovulate on my own. I did have af on my own this month which was nice. I just have no idea when to bd or when I should ovulate I am so clueless. Any advice would be appriciated.

Answer: Julie, make sure you take some ibuprofen before the HSG procedure. It really is uncomfortable but not unbearable with the ibuprofen. The doc. told me I could start bding immediately after the HSG, but I would not recommend it because I had lots of bleeding and dull pain in the day that followed the procedure. Take care of yourself. I hope that you got the all clear like I did. They say that you have a better chance of conceiving the next 3 mos. after the procedure because the dye cleans out your tubes. Answer: Julie A. - I only took 1 cycle of Clomid at 50mg on days 3-7. I don't know if it's true or not but I read there is better success if taken earlier. Anyway, I found the OPK's frustrating & hard to read. I took them every other day around the time I thought I would ovulate. Then I started b'ding every day. Some do it every other but I wasn't taking any chances. The only thing about the OPK that lead me to think I may be ready to ovulate was the line was slightly darker than days prior. Also, I took my temp & that clued me in as well. Good Luck! =)

Answer: Thanks for the welcome back Gina! Mel, clomid is a drug that makes you ovulate. It is for those of us that either don't ovulate or don't produce eggs that are of good quality. It can make you ovulate more than one egg, so it gives you a better chance of producing a good one.

If you do conceive naturally, let us know. I would be so excited for you. You were the one that told me that there was a difference between generic and non-generic clomid. I am taking the non-generic name brand Serophene (clomid). My symptoms have been a lot different! Still get hot flashes, but I'm not at all emotional, no headaches, no wierd bubbly feeling in the ovaries area. Hope I'm still making follicles. Will go to the doc on Thursday to find out. I just finished provera(10 days) two days ago and now waiting on AF. Which I hear can take up to another 10 days. I will then take clomid 100mg cd 3-7 or cd 4-8
